1. Connection problems

That's right, I still suffer from connection problems at home. I can still answer emails, process BSFs etc at work via an HTTP connection, but I can't go and waste my time on IRC (thankfully !) or do day-to-day updates of the Compendium. These updates have currently to wait for week-ends, when I am eventually able to use a secondary connection. To resume, you will hardly find me on IRC except maybe week-ends, FTP updates can only being done on week-ends for the time being.

2. New TIE missions

Some free missions and a new TIE-TC Battle have been released this week-end. Even closer to TAC2K with 1,894 missions online total ! TAC1,9K next week ;) Releases of new XvT/XWA missions should be delayed a bit with the recent changes in command for both platforms. Hopefully there will be even more released than before once everyone is settled...

3. New TCC:XWA

Captain Gord Darkonian, longstanding member of the TAC Staff, as been apppointed Tactical Coordinator (XWA) ! He's now responsible of the supervision of the beta playtesting/correction for XWA.

4. New TCS/TCT sought for XWA

With the changes in command concerning the XWA part of the Tactical Staff, there is currently a lack of playtesters (TCS) and correctors (TCT) for XWA. Therefore, the Tactical Office is looking for additional Tactical Surveyors (TCS, playtesters) and Tacticians (TCT, correctors) for the XWA platform. Please review the Tactical Manual (http://www.tiecorps.org/tac/tac-man/) for the position descriptions. Some requirements for the positions are for Tactical Surveyors (TCS):

• have XWA
• be able to playtest a battle within a week and to write a beta report (templates in the Tactical Manual)
• knowledge in XWA mission design and graduation from XAM not necessary but recommended.

• have XWA
• be able to bring corrections to a battle within 1,2 weeks, from the problems noticed by the TCS in their beta reports (guidelines in the Tactical Manual)
• knowledge in XWA mission design
• must have passed XAM from IWATS

5. "IWATS10K" Project

In a joint effort between the SCO and TAC, new stuff (ie a patch and a XWA battle) should be released soon to celebrate IWATS10K...

6. "Phoenix Alliance" Project

Well, I haven't taken care yet of XWA-TC 18 and Sauron's battles, playing with AlliED right now to release an IWATS10K Battle...

7. FCHG Creation Competition

Details are not settled yet, but it should take place between November 15th and December 15th... this way, winning FCHG Battles should be released for the EH Birthday. The main topic for these battles has not been decided yet, no need to bug me yet...

8. TAC Office feedback

I posted a thread on the main TIE Corps Message board to get your input on the current work done by the TAC Office as a whole, nearly two months after I got back TAC. Feel free to complain, even if I'm pleased to see you're satisfied with the work done ;-)
