There is currently a pretty cool competition going on - the Design a Bad Guy competition. The idea is to come up with enemies for the EH. The best will be used in future competitions, thus allowing us to create large story arcs involving these baddies. It's an EH-wide competition and details are available at http://www.imperialacademy.org/comps/badguy/ In line with this, I've made an "Enemies of the EH" page at http://www.imperialacademy.org/comps/characters.asp So far there's only two enemies - Vice Admiral Kusanagi (from TO Comp 5) and the Furvus Manus, a "Palpatine cult" I just recently made (and who will be used in an upcoming DB competition). Obviously, when the competition is finished, this list of enemies will be expanded and their histories grow as competitions are run.
With the gradual increase in these "EH-wide" competitions, I'll be talking to the subgroup commanders soon about a standardised system of compensation for members, since Iron Stars might not be attractive to members of all subgroups. The eventual aim of this is to come up with a broadbase system of awards that appeals to all members, while remaining fair. Just another part of the Training Office's drive to improve interaction and fun in the EH. :P
The large competition I've been working on has been delayed til January since December is basically a dead period. It will also give me more time to refine it and double-check everything. The same goes for the EH ladder, as I will have to recode it (again).
There's a new poll on the TO site - What should the Training Office theme song be? 6 options, lots of fun. For those who are wondering, "Bestrafe Mich" apparently means "Punish me".
Total graduate count is currently on 10,655. There was quite a slowing down after IWATS10K (as can be seen in the pretty graph at http://www.imperialacademy.org/common_data/graphs/iwats-10k5.gif). Hopefully, we'll be seeing some new courses soon.
