1. TAC awarded MoH

It has been a very good surprise this week to see I was awarded the Medal of Honor. I would like to thank the Fleet Commander for his trust, and, though this is an individual reward, I would like to associate the whole Tactical Office to this reward. I wouldn't be able to be efficient in my work if I hadn't a very good staff to rely on.

2. New TCC:TIE

RA Absolut Vodka has been appointed Tactical Coordinator for TIE Fighter. This should allow my Command Attaché Marcin Szydlowski, who has hold the position for a very long time now, to focus on his TCHC duties and on Operation Sweeping Corners.

3. Bitmap and LFD File for TIE Fighter

LT Ender mBind has written a little tutorial on how creating a custom bitmap for LFD File in TIE Fighter. It has been included in the Tactical Manual in the part concerning the creation of LFD Files.

4. Some new XWA missions

Half a dozen of new XWA missions have been released today. Compendium up to 2,061 missions, still growing of course !

5. Operation Sweeping Corners

Our goal is to get rid of all bug reports before March 1st. It should go a bit faster now I have TIE95 and cleaned a bit my mailbox !

6. Reminder about cheating

Well, I had to deal with a good numbers of cases recently, please all go read the Cheating policy in the Tactical Manual to see how things can go bad for you if you ever try... It may sometimes take long to catch you, but you will one day or another, nobody's perfect. It isn't worth it.

7. Reminder about custom missions

If you want to create a free mission or a battle, and want it to become an official EH Battle, please read the Tactical Manual ! If you don't follow the procedure for submitting new missions (include a test pilot file, pass the IWATS course, use the proper title/body for email submission), your submission will be denied; simply because this procedure is the only way for me to make sure you did read the EH standards, and did playtest your battle.

8. Reminder about skipping missions

Once again, if you skip a mission for no reason in a battle, except this battle to be removed from your profile... I don't even speak about people skipping free missions and submitting a blank pilot file !! I plan to simply forbid skipping missions even if you encounter a bug, because a/ those should be all cleaned any time soon b/ applying the regulation about mission skipping (part of the cheating policy !) costs me a lot of useful time. In XvT, make sure you did complete all the missions (get "Victory" in all of them), XvT may give you a score even if you haven't won the mission.
