The TO Communique has returned to haunt the Inboxes of TIE Corps members everywhere. The TO Communique was part of an effort to create a more fluffy, cuddly relationship between the Training Office/IWATS and TIE Corps members by informing them directly of news, services and changes within the Training Office. After being away for a while, it's back and will hopefully accelerate our progression to the big 10K.
IWATS 10K will be the title of a promotional exercise to get more graduates and speed IWATS towards the totally massive and impressive total of 10,000 graduates since I got Dean. That will be over 6 times the total membership of the TIE Corps and almost 3 times that of the entire EH. The exercise will consist of basically total media saturation, mainly on the message boards.
Some course shuffling has gone on in IWATS. The Computer Basics (CBX) course is back up, hosted on my domain and benefitting from the integrated news/graduates system. The professor has made minor adjustments to the course notes as well. In order to help promote the ASP course a bit more, I've changed the Flash ad on the main page (http://www.imperialacademy.org/news.asp) to something promoting ASP, as well as having a jab at Microsoft. Fleet Admiral AbsoluteK tells me work is still progressing on the new PHP course.
LC Guthwulf, one of the best and longest serving IWATS professors, is leaving us. Based on his exceptional service, I've recommended him for the GOE and it appears to have been approved by the powers to be. His replacement will be announced soon. TOA2 is also open, and this poor soul will be helping me in the creation, design and running of future TO Comps. Full details on the Jobs page (http://www.imperialacademy.org/jobs.asp).
Graduate milestones in this week too. Squadron Management 2 hits 600, Computer Basics hit 250. And IWATS has reached the grand total of 8,500. There's even a pretty graph available (http://www.imperialacademy.org/common_data/graphs/iwats-8k5.gif).
