Training Officer Report # 62

The last couple weeks have been pretty quiet. This week I did some database updates to allow the creation of a unified news/graduate system for all courses. This will allow professors to post news and new graduates on their course sites without harassing me to upload this information. The benefits include a more up to date graduate count and individual graduate lists. Also, any news posted on the course sites will appear on the main ImperialAcademy.org news page. The other updates included putting all the IWATS positions into the database so the jobs listing (www.imperialacademy.org/jobs.asp) is completely dynamic and up to date.

As for courses, TIE Tactics and Graphics are now 100% operational. A few others should be up and running in the next few weeks. The current aim of IWATS is to get all courses active and running. Then we'll focus on adding new courses.

Activity on the EH Ladder appears to have died down. I've decided to make the Ladder season run for 2 months. This means the current season will end on 27th April, which is about 4 weeks away. Also, the rules have been amended so that one person can only play a maximum of 10 matches against any other party. Members can now change their settings such as email address too.

Lastly, IWATS has just passed 7,000 graduates. This is another example of the seemingly rapid acceleration of graduates, which is strange considering the IWATS Core graduates (which stands at 2,100 now) has almost flat-lined. mIRC/1 is almost up to 1,000 graduates while the Computer Basics course has also recently passed 200 graduates.
