As for the courses themselves, ICQ has been added to the active list and is now considered live. The professor is CM Flelm and the course is available at http://www.imperialacademy.org/icq/ The Rebellion Tactics course is also live now, following a lengthy HTML redesign process (note: Save As HTML in Word is not a good idea). The course is available at http://www.imperialacademy.org/rebtac/ and the course professor is CM Predator. Courses currently close to being completed are XvT Tactics and XvT Mission Design. Due to quality control issues recently, these courses (and all future ones) will be getting a long hard second looking at to ensure the highest quality possible. I'm currently arranging the professors for the remaining courses, which include XWA Mission Design, PHP, RedED and the two Role-Playing courses. After all these positions are filled and the courses are active, IWATS will be focussing on new courses including an ASP course.
The EH Ladder appears completely dead, which is a bit of a disappointment. Raven Arestar will be deleted from the XWA Ladder sometime this weekend, as he's left the EH. This will put (at the time of writing) Judge (lordjeffrey_99@yahoo.com) as first placer on the XWA Ladder. Heading up the XvT Ladder is Khaen, while Alphor Badlands and Zsinj are tied for first on the JK Ladder. The current ladder season ends on 27th April.
Because of systemic abuse by a select group of people, as well as the inability of some members to read further than the first 5 lines on a webpage, I'm seriously considering pulling down the customisation code on the ImperialAcademy.org domain. The kind of abuse I'm talking about is people using offensive text for login names, passwords and email accounts, or just not even putting in a valid email account. This results in several things. Firstly, it bloats the user table with extraneous entries which affect the performance of the entire site. It also creates problems when people login to change their details (especially if they have 2 or more accounts with the same login name). Lastly, I also get a wide-ranging number of bounced emails whenever I post news on the site (because it emails some of the users). I recently unsubscribed all the accounts that were bouncing, yet half a dozen more appeared the last time I posted news.
Graduate counts - I made a slight mistake in my last report. IWATS Core was actually 2,200 and not 2,100. mIRC/1 has passed 1,000 graduates while Rebellion Tactics has passed 100 just this week. As for the much talked about 10,000 graduate mark, I've been doing some projections in Excel. Depending on the method I use, IWATS will hit 10,000 in either October this year or April next year. Of course, with more courses coming online, the 10K mark could be reached sooner.
