1. Fleet Admiral Striker back from leave
After an enjoyable week of holidays in Turkey, I'm back to active duty. Huh, we should install some hammam or sauna here on the Sov.
2. Mission Creation Contest: Hammer's Pride Competition: DEADLINE EXTENDED
The deadline is reset to May 22nd ! The goal is to design a single free mission, in order to advertise the Emperor's Hammer. This mission should be designed for non-EHers, and should introduce the EH, the TIE Corps, subgroups etc. The winning submissions would be spred through the mission creation community in order to advertise the Emperor's Hammer. The plotline of the missions is up to you, as long as it introduces the EH.. remember the missions will be flown by non-EHers. There is three categories, TIE, XvT/BoP, XWA, top3 submissions for each will be rewarded (up to IS-GR). All submissions should follow the EH standards of the Tactical Manual, avoid the use of patches due to the advertising nature of the missions. 3. No more mission skipping
I remind you of the changes made before my leave:
Skipping Missions
You are not allowed to skip a mission in a battle whatever the reason is. All missions of a battle must be completed. You are not to use the ingame 'skipping mission' option of X-Wing Alliance. If you encounter a battle that has a fatal bug in it that prevents you from playing the rest of the battle, you cannot edit your pilot file to skip the mission. If you encounter a fatal bug, fill out a Bug Report on the Battle Center to explain why you could not finish a mission, and save a backup of your pilot file so you can finish the battle after it has been repaired. Skipping missions may lead to have the batle removed from your combat profile.
4. New battles
Two new XvT battles and a new XWA battle have been uploaded to the Compendium this week...enjoy !
5. Triple celebration
Today is a special day for me... I joined the Emperor's Hammer four years ago (May 17th, 1998, duh I feel old), was promoted to Fleet Admiral one year and half ago (November 17th, 2000) and I have been roughly Tactical Officer for a full year (8 months and half since August, plus 3 months and half in 2000)... to celebrate this, the Sovereign's Cantina has been refilled with special wines from Aurora, and you're all welcome there !!
