Tactical Officer's Opening Statement
3576 total custom missions online!
First things first, no more TAC staff openings! Welcome aboard LT Kate Flyer, LCM Daniel Russell and COL Andrijas to the Tactical staff! I was happy to see many applications, I actually got to chose! :) For those that didn't get the job, keep working on your skills.
The only courses that we need to update for the TAC project are TM and XAM. XAM is being worked on, TM will be updated very soon. This week the TO will release the new IWATS: Mission Creation and Beta Testing Standards course. In fact it was programmed and everything, my CA and I have already passed it. Here is a small overview of the course:
-The MCBS course explains all the plotline and tactical procedures that are necessary for mission creation in the Emperor's Hammer.
-It also explains all the current Tactical Procedures for Beta Testers and TAC staff, it will now be Mandatory for all *NEW* TAC staff.
-It also explains all of those requirements for battles that are sent to the TAC officer, combined with the Tactical Manual, it will facilitate Custom Mission Creation submission.
-It was created in order to lighten the load of TAC courses on the Academic nexus. All of the Sequel mission creation courses will be removed and the remaining versions (XTM, TM and XAM) will be redesigned to reflect these changes. MCBS allows these mission creation courses to concentrate on mission creation editors and creation of the actual mission rather than explaining TAC procedures, Alpha Testing, and back seat mission creation (plotline tutorials).
-IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL NEW MISSION CREATORS WHO WILL BE SUBMITTING CUSTOM MISSIONS
We had a few difficult moments with the Tactical Database this week, if any betatesters are having trouble with submitting beta reports, contact me at once. If a report you've previously reported isn't on the database, contact me at once.

-XWA Free 118, XvT Free 119, XvT Free 120 were released this week!
-There are currently NO TAC STAFF OPENINGS.
-An FCHG competition is schedualed for two weeks from now.
-A PC was awarded to LT Danel for his many submissions.
Tactical Projects
-Frodo's Quest for More Missions: This is my own personal quest to get mission creators to create more, I used quite a few means, mainly by competition and by posting news items that could help people start creating missions. I think I'm doing pretty good...feedback anybody?
-Fix those IWATS!: The TAC staff is fixing our IWATS courses! In collaboration with the TO we're bringing our course standards up. XTM was updated, XAM is being updated and a new course will replace TACS and the sequel coursese!
Tactical Tasks
-More missions and faster turnaround in relation to testing: .
-More support relating to new platforms (Jedi outcast academy, SWGB): SWGB now has 2 active Tacticians and many, many testers, we are ready to deal with SWGB bugs and the number of battles on the compendium has increased drastically. If anybody would like to be JA staff, please contact me as soon as possible. Our new project will improve support for older platforms as well.
-Coordinating with training office to set up new training resources for new platforms:.

-Pilot of the Week Competition: The Pilot of the Week this week is...VA Gidda! For his consistant work, and excellent response time with XWA testing and correction. The Pilot of the month for May was...CM Brukhar, the SR is in the mail.
