Tactical Officer's Opening Statement
3562 total custom missions online!
I reassigned the TAC DB assignements this week. I also promise that some XWA will be released by next week, as well as many, many more bug fixes for AntEater. We won't talk about AntEater progress for this week...lets just say that the staffers took a small break since we did quite a bit in the last three weeks...and that I was busy releasing stuff and remaking IWATS courses.
I've begun re-making XTM, it should be complete by the next report you see from me.
Tomorow is the Iron Mission Creation FINAL! between CPT Daar Skeloria and CM Fahrer! Be there in #tac at 1300hrs EST and see the Best Match yet! This time an IS-PR is up for grabs! Also, the winner of this match will get to face the Tactical Officer next week! In addition to receive the title of Iron MissiOn Creator! Should be a blast!
Tactical Announcements
-XvT-TC 113, XvT-TC 114, XvT-TC 115, TIE Free 255, XvT Free 186, and XvT Free 187 were released this week!.
-Very few bug fixes this week.
-There are NO TAC staff openings.
-The IRON MISSION CREATOR FINALS are tomorow.
Tactical Projects
-Operation Ant Eater: 26 bugs remain, I'm now capable to build XWA...Going to hack at these this week like crazy.
-Frodo's Quest for More Missions: This is my own personal quest to get mission creators to create more, I used quite a few means, mainly by competition and by posting news items that could help people start creating missions. We have alot of custom made battles and missions on the TACDB and they're swarming in. BUILD MORE!
-Fix those IWATS!: The TAC staff is fixing our IWATS courses! In collaboration with the TO we're bringing our course standards up.
Tactical Tasks
-More missions and faster turnaround in relation to testing:
Assignement Refresh done. Releases are often.
-More support relating to new platforms (Jedi outcast academy, SWGB): SWGB now has 2 active Tacticians and many, many testers, we are ready to deal with SWGB bugs and the number of battles on the compendium has increased drastically. If anybody would like to be JA staff, please contact me as soon as possible. Our new project will improve support for older platforms as well.
-Coordinating with training office to set up new training resources for new platforms: The SWGB course is there. Gimme some time on this JA stuff.
-Restart Project Pheonix and fix any bugs in the mission compendium: Operation "anteater" is nearing completion..*crosses fingers*
Competitions
-Iron Mission Creator: Every week end there will be matches between mission creators to see which can build the best free mission for a designated plotline within 2 hours! More details here.
-Pilot of the Week Competition: The Pilot of the Week this week is LC Archangel!
