Tactical Officer's Opening Statement
I write to you today in a state of shock...For I didn't release anything this week and feel odd. Therefore I promise twice as much will be released before the next report.
I also promise alot of bugs will be corrected. For you see, my March Break has begun, and as of tomorow night all obligations for anything else but my Tactical duties will be lifted from me with a magical crowbar and I shall EAT THOSE ANTS LIKE I NEVER ATE ANTS BEFORE!...Not that I have eaten ants before.
Other than that, Master is still hard at work on XWA bugs. This week we saw alot of proggress in the TAC DB with reports and such, nothing to release but as I said earlier, next week is promising.
No noticeable BSF problems, (that means I don't remember any ;P) which is excellent.
This week I explain...The Tactical Mission Designer!:
-The tactical mission designer (TMD) is a new TAC position.
-They will be required to build battles and missions, on demand!
-They will usually work with the plotline compendium.
-They are required to have Mission creation knowledge!
-And yes, they'll be allowed to do personal projects.
I hope that cleared up alot of questions about the TMD, now apply for the damned position pleaaaaaaase! Previous applicants must re-apply due to a lack of applications, they all reseted.
Tactical Announcements
-Nothing released this week!
-Operation Ant Eater continues! XWA/BoP bugs are getting fewer and fewer.
-I need TMDs and TCTs for ALL PLATFORMS! Send applications to myself and Master.
-The masses have answered my SWGB plea...I will add the new TCT on the TAC DBs tonight.
Tactical Projects
-Operation Ant Eater:This is a lot like Project phoenix, the TAC staff will set out to destroy all bugs in the Mission Compendium! We now have some progress, more details here.
-Frodo's Quest for More Missions:This is my own personal quest to get mission creators to create more, March has begun, we'll see what March brings in!.
Tactical Tasks
-More missions and faster turnaround in relation to testing: My quest for more missions is still under way. My comp shall end soon, so that I may get into the next ideas to get more missions and battles.
-More support relating to new platforms (Jedi outcast academy, SWGB): We have a few SWGB battles in progress, anybody interested in JA, or JO or SWGB can contact myself right away. Mission creation course is in the TO's hands.
-Coordinating with training office to set up new training resources for new platforms: I have been approached about an SWGB creation IWATS course, I'll keep you posted. Talks have begun with the TO.
-Restart Project Pheonix and fix any bugs in the mission compendium: Operation "ant-eater" is under way!
-Reform the TAC staff from a corps of testers to mission creators: TMD list has been rebooted!
Competitions
-Mission Creation Incentive: The pilot who submits the most battles to the TAC office in the month of January will be awarded an IS-PR, an IS-GR for second place and the same goes for February and March. You must submit at least 3 battles, and the same goes with missions, except the award for top missions is IS-GR and you must build at least 5. March has begun, an IS-PR is up for grabs!!
-Pilot of the Week Competition: The pilot of the week this week is LC Ric Taldrya woo! Go Ricci!. Standings for March are: Aft 1, Ric 1.
