Tactical Officer's Opening Statement
Welcome to the fifth TAC report from RA Frodo March.
This week was quite eventful, we finished it off with a few battle
releases. Less people have been skipping missions, good, and we're
hacking at all the bugs on the mission compendium!
At this rate the XWA bugs will be a thing of the past in a few days and only one XW bug remains.
Tactical Announcements
-There are three new entries in the Mission Compendium! Go
check out XWA Free 116, XvT TC 107 and BoP TC 24! wooo!
-Operation Ant Eater's homepage is updated: The public
version can be found here: http://servelarge.no-ip.com/~frothyt/opae.html
To date, 11 XWA Bugs have been
corrected, and 3 are assigned and will be corrected soon. Aswell as 2 X-wing
bugs that have been removed.
-TAC DB 2.0 is up and running, we have quite a few
assignements on it already! However I'd like you all to concentrate on the ones
on TAC DB 1 first...So we can empty the damn thing.
-After much thinking I have decided to appoint MAJ
Chris Cox as the new, old, TCC:XvT. He now has to live up to the
last TCC:XvT, and we're sure he'll do fine.
-Casino comp update: TIE TC 221, XvT TC 106 and XWA TC 39
are the casino comp battles! Fly them, the high scores will be processed this
February 1st.
-I am still looking for XWA/TIE/XvT/BoP/SWGB Staff, applications
are to be sent to me at fcjt914@yahoo.ca and
my CA at stelerain@comcast.net
Tactical Projects
-Operation Ant-Eater: This is a lot like Project phoenix, the TAC staff will set out
to destroy all bugs in the Mission Compendium! We now have some progress, more

-Frodo's Quest for more Missions!: This is
my own personal quest to get mission creators to create more, We have gotten
quite a few submittions, I'm going to count and see who gets the medals for the
month of January.
Tasks from the FC
-More missions and faster turnaround in relation to
testing: My quest for more missions is still under way.
-Better attitude/interaction with the
membership regarding the EHBL and in general: Pilots come first! I'm willing to do anything to make your life
easier as long as you are willing to help me help you. Anything TAC
related that you need to discuss will be happily handed by me or my CA.
-More support relating to new platforms
(Jedi outcast academy, SWGB): We have a few SWGB
battles in progress, anybody interested in JA, or JO or SWGB can contact myself
right away. Support is important and we need some competent staff for
these new platforms. Anybody interested in a Mission Creation course for
these platforms can contact me immediately and I'll make sure you get all the
support you need to get me my support.
-Coordinating with training office to
set up new training resources for new platforms: hehe, the second we get a TO...BAM!
-Restart Project Pheonix and fix any
bugs in the mission compendium: Operation
"ant-eater" is under way!
-Reform the TAC staff from a corps of
testers to mission creators: I'm just awaiting
on something from my TACA for this one.
Competitions
-"Mission Creation Incentive": The
pilot who submits the most battles to the TAC office in the month of January
will be awarded an IS-PR, an IS-GR for second place and the same goes for
February and March. You must submit at least 3 battles, and the same goes
with missions, except the award for top missions is IS-GR and you must build at
least 5. (Currently, FA Ender mBind leads with 9 battles, second place
for January is still up for grabs).
-Pilot of the week competition! I don't
receive alot of TCC reports these days *sigh*. Anyway, this week is
TCC:XWA General Master again! He's provided us with more final checks, good job
Master!
Standings are: VA Stuart 1 week, COL Mike 1 week, GN
Master 2 weeks. Therefore, GN Master wins for the month of January!
