This report was submitted by AD Slage

This is the Reconnaissance Office Report of 08.25.00:

Office News

- Yet another revised edition of the ISC Ops. Manual, here's the final one. BTW, look to the Reconnaissance Office Page for info on the opening of the Imperial Survey Corps:

Imperial Survey Corps Operations Manual
Drafted by Vice Admiral Draye C. Maaric, edited by Admiral Slage. (Last Updated 08.22.00)

1. Mission Statement of the Corps

The mission of the Imperial Survey Corps is to assist the Reconnaissance Office in its effort to expand the influence of the Emperor's Hammer to the farthest reaches of the Galaxy. ISC operatives are deployed at the behest of the Reconnaissance Office to explore new territories such as webpages, message boards, news forums, and other Star Wars related resources to determine whether the Emperor’s Hammer can introduce itself there. This information would then be reported to the Reconnaissance Office for analysis. In short, the ISC acts as the ambassadors for the Emperor's Hammer.

2. Positions within the ISC

Imperial Survey Corps Commander (ISCC)
Executive Corps Commander (ECC)
Division Commander (DC)
Surveyor (SURV)

3. Positions Descriptions

Position: Imperial Survey Corps Commander (ISCC)
Minimum Rank: Vice Admiral within the TIE Corps
Duties: The ISCC is the senior commander of the Imperial Survey Corps, reporting Directly to the Reconnaissance Officer with any and all pertinent information. Also acting as the Command Attaché to the Recon Officer, he or she is responsible for all administrational duties within the ISC, and for screening new recruits interested in becoming a part of the Corps.
Description: This is a full-time job, with the ISCC being posted on the M/CRV Doomsday.
Typical Online Time: 3 hours per week

Position: Executive Corps Commander (ECC)
Minimum Rank: Commander within the TIE Corps (or equivalent)

Description: This is a part-time job, although it should be considered a primary responsibility.
Typical Online Time: 2 hours per week

Position: Division Commander (DC)
Minimum Rank: Lieutenant Commander within the TIE Corps (or equivalent)
Duties: A Division Commander is the essentially still the same as a Survey Scout, performing the duties of exploring new territories such as webpages, message boards, news forums, and other Star Wars related resources. However, a DC is also a commanding officer, managing a division of Survey Scouts and/or Analysts. It is the duty of the DC to relay the orders of the ISCC and ECC to those under his or her Command, as well as directing the general activity of their division.
Description: This is a part-time job, and is done in addition to any other duties the DC might have in other subgroups.
Typical Online Time: 1-2 hours per week

Position: Surveyor (SURV)
Minimum Rank: Sub-Lieutenant within the TIE Corps (or equivalent)
Duties: Surveyors make up the bulk of the Imperial Survey Corps. The mission of the Surveyors is to assist the Reconnaissance Office in it effort to expand the influence
of the Emperor's Hammer to the farthest reaches of the Galaxy. Surveyors are deployed at the behest of the Reconnaissance Office to explore new territories such as webpages, message boards, news forums, and other Star Wars related resources. This information would then be reported to the Reconnaissance Office for analysis. In short, the Surveyors act somewhat as the ambassadors for the Emperor's Hammer.
Description: This is a part-time job, but one which requires vigilance and dedication to the Reconnaissance Office and to the Emperor's Hammer.
Typical Online Time: Non-applicable. Members will be required to report for duty when called on by their Division Commander or above..

4. Divisions

Upon the institution of the Imperial Survey Corps, there will be two divisions which members can participate in: the Delegation and the Prospectus.

The Delegation
This division of the Imperial Survey Corps will be charged with locating, researching, and contacting other gaming organizations. Their goals are:

- To establish a lasting contact with said organization.
- To ensure that a link to the Emperor’s Hammer domain is posted in a place of prominence if aforesaid contact is successful.
- To report such contacts to the ISCC for further analysis.
- To expand tremendously as the Imperial Survey Corps develops.

The Prospectus
The mission of this division within the ISC will be much more challenging, yet more rewarding than the Delegation. The Prospectus is expected to do the following:

- Locate possible conduits for Emperor’s Hammer news and material
- Attempt to establish these conduits as permanent, so that the Emperor’s Hammer will have assured access to them
- Stay in contact with said conduits, so to ensure a profitable gain to EH publicity.

The manual will be updated from time to time, so do not rely on this one for too long of a while. Updates can be gotten from the Reconnaissance Office webpage.

Office Activities

- Well, the only RO project which I have created AND that I have solely worked on, Project Horizon, which was been delayed until future usage, but now has been re-activated. Now that I have some more time to work on EH matters, I'm doing a lot of work on Project Horizon, which was originally created for the purposes of not only expanding the Emperor's Hammer's realm of publicity, but eliminating any unuseful or unwanted assistance in the matter, such as sites which are linked on EH.org, but are in fact NOT including EH.org in their list of links.

As of now, Project Horizon is at exactly 33% completion, where I have done 28/85 sites on the EH.org links page. More detailed updates will be given in the future.

- Once more, here is the NEW mssion statement of the RO, re-written by the current Reconnaissance Office staff:

The Reconnaissance Officer is responsible for handling any sort of publicity affairs for the Emperor's Hammer, and does so while cruising Cyberspace in his modified Corvette, Doomsday. Using a variety of sources including web sites, radio, and the news media, he attempts to open channels of communication with the general public to recruit more members for the EH, thus searching for new avenues of expansion for the Fleet.

Non-EH Site of the Week

http://www.allscifi.com

An interesting site for many different genres of Sci-Fi entertainment (Including Star Wars). (BTW, this one was also last weeks, but since GA Ronin can have only one up at a time on EH.org, I'll just leave this one.)

Comments

None, just GLAD that Project Horizon's back on track.
