It has been an hectic week for the Tactical Office, and the next week should not be a piece of cake too. Following resignation of High Admiral Kawolski as Tactical Officer, I have been appointed TAC; first I would like to thank Grand Admiral Ronin, Sector Admiral Compton and High Admiral Kawolski for trusting me able to manage that very busy and important office. Although the TAC position is the one I always wanted to hold, I must say I am sorry to see HA Kawolski leave the office, but something says me it will not be his last command position :-)

    First, let introduce myself for those who would wonder who I am; I joined the Emperor Hammer in May 98, first in Teth squadron aboard the Sovereign, before being appointed Commander of Tornado Squadron a few months later. I served then aboard the Challenge as CMDR, WC and even COM for a couple of days, until joining the admiralty as CA:TAC on the demand of former TAC/FA Dev. I have been part of the Tactical Office for now one year and half and served as CA under the two last TAC, so I am quite used with every aspect of the TAC Office. I have also been quite active in subgroups, and some of you may have met me in the DB, where I used to be Consul of Clan Naga Sadow, or in the IW where I am still IWTAC.

    I would like to promise you lots of improvements and changes in the Tactical Office, but actually all the needed changes have already been done over the past year under the direction of HA Kawolski. Some complained about the time it took to see their custom missions/battles approved, I will see if improvements to the current Beta Team system can be done. Concerning new battles, requirements for TIE missions may become stricter, concerning mainly briefings/debriefings. Another subject of interest will be the bug correction of already released battles, the work done by Project Phoenix, then by myself, will continue; the Tactical Office won't have a rest until we kill all these bugs ;-) Enough speech for today, let's attack the technical part of this first report...
 

New battles/missions

    You don't need to resubmit your custom battles to me, HA Kawolski has forwarded me all the ones he received. I still need to evaluate the current situation of the Beta Team, I will provide in my next report a listing of the battles received/currently tested so you can make sure I have your files.

BSF-Audits

    one or two features need to be set up before I can be fully able to process them; it is only a matter of days, just be patient :-)

Mission Compendium

    The mirror sites have moved sooner tonight to new locations; the Battle Center have been updated, so you shouldn't notice the difference. You can now choose your download from 5 different servers (2 US, 1 Canadian and 2 European ones).

CA:TAC-TACA positions

    I will not taking applications right now for these positions, so please not flood my mailbox yet; I first need to consider the new organization of the TAC Office, in order to see if I need one or two CA. Descriptions/requirements of the positions will be posted later, so stay tuned.

And that concludes my first report as TAC... I am currently moving IRL, in addition to moving my EH office, so please be comprehensive if I don't reply your mail within 24h this week ;-)
