ISD Colossus Ship Report #6
FLEET NEWS
-Here's an important message to all CMDRs from Alex Foley regarding medals:
I haven't ever really spoken out about this, but in medal denials, so I'll go
on official record with a few points on
required items in medal
recommendations and other general issues I've noticed lately:
- All MSE medals MUST include quantatative data, such as battles
completed, multiplayer activity, IWATS completed, communications activity,
and medals awarded to the pilot in that month.
- I will no longer approve a MSE medal if it doesn't include the medals
awarded to the pilot that month and at least the general purpose of that
medal being awarded. I want to cut down on double-awarding. Please note
that what I'm specificially looking for are competition medals, web design
medals, and things along those lines.
- Competition numbers must be included with every Iron
Star medal recommendations. There are no excepetions to this rule.
- No merit medal may be awarded for any
competition.
- Commendations of Bravery are to be awarded immediately after a pilot
completes 30 missions. Any pilot who does so may request their CMDR to
award this medal. This is not out of line, it's just making your
CMDR aware that you have completed the required number of missions.
So, the ideal medal recommendation would look something like this:

CM Forrest Gump has been a great commander. He flew many battles this
month as well as took many IWATS. Unfortunately, he has to step down as
commander due to RL in the next week or so. For all his activity and for
his work as commander, Forrest deserves a Bronze Star!
Another stellar month from one of our best CMDRs. He accumulated 476
points in Top Dawg and that is a great acheivment in itself. He maintains
all his regular CMDR duties in a timely manner and is one of our best. Run
Forrest Run! |

Please stick to a form like this. I know it takes a little bit longer,
but I have yet to deny a medal that itemizes activity like this.
-The position of Security Officer is currently open for applications. Check
the Emperor's Hammer domain for requirements.
-IMPSTORM STATUS: There have been no battles so far. Right
now, the Sov team holds 1 planet, the ATF teams holds another one, the ASF
holds one too, while the TCBG holds 3 planets.
-The Star Wars Trilogy DVD is out! If you're a real SW fan, go buy it! (like I
did)
-Star Wars Battlefront, LucasArts latest game, is also out. Basically, it's
Battlefield 1942 but Star Wars all over. Opinions on the game are pretty much
divided, so I suggest you research, read some reviews and opinions, and think
very carefully before buying it.
SHIP NEWS
-CM Andrelious J. Inahj was considered TCBG
Pilot of the Month for August, and he also received a Silver Star :)
-Sadly, we lost some pilots recently. CM Rokin transferred to reserves, CM
Ernest Penfold was declared MIA, and MAJ Daniel Klivian was invited to the
elite Avenger Squadron.
-However, we welcomed two new pilots. CPT Darky has joined Nu
Squadron, and CM Trowa has joined Omicron Squadron :)
-Two of our pilots have been promoted to the rank of LCM. They are LCM
Rinuchu Stealth and LCM Giovanni Palermo. You two
are very good pilots, I earned these ranks.
-VA Gunman and CM Kadon Beir were the only
Colossus pilots to finish the Sovereign Summer Patrol. They both therefore
received an IS-GW.
-After some RL problems, MAJ Curtis is back in action.
-Ship Doctor: We now have an official ship doctor, and he's
CM Miackus. This means that'll continue to contribute has he
has been doing to the ship's moral, but also that you may talk to him if you
have any problem that can't be discussed with me and Curtis, or anything at a
more psychological level. His office is always open, so feel free to contact
him.
