FLEET NEWS
-The Commendations of Loyalty have been awarded.

-COL Nurel Turr is the new WC of Wing VII.
-The position of Wing X WC is open for apps (at
least it says so in the news...).
-Hope you've been checking the Tie Corps news
page. TAC has made a lot of updates and bug fixes, especially to thew
troublesome XWA-TC 37 :P
-As I read on a portuguese magazine, September is
gonna be a Star Wars month. Not only will we see the release of the Star Wars
Triology on DVD (with a few hours of extras), but we'll also see the release
of Star Wars Battlefront, a game I'm really looking forward. Check the game's
official website for more information.
-Here is a
list of
changes for the new DVD trilogy.
-Sadly, Episode 3 will be the last episode you'll
see. However, Lucas is thinking of moving to television to continue Star Wars.
Cross your fingers.
-The Imperial Storm Exercise has begun. The ATF
and the TCBG have already conquered some planets.
SHIP NEWS
-At this moment, BGCOM is on leave undergoing an
operation to his jaw. We wish him good luck and a fast recovery. Last time we
spoke, just a few days ago, he said this:

are in joint command of the BG until i am fit to return
So me and Thorin will be under control of this BG
till he returns. Since I recently got a job which has taken a considerable
part of my time (I'm sure you noticed), Thorin will do most of the work and
decisions around here. I'll be more of a supervisor really.
-LC Angel has retired and left the position of
Eta CMDR open. He received a Bronze Star for his services.
That position has just been filled by CM Anthony Starr.
-CPT Rogue has been AWOLed, and Nico Qarni
retired.

-DrakeFM, General Drake's famous radio, is back. You may
find him occasionaly DJing for the fleet. Try it, Drake has several old time
hits, and a Brit sense of humour to go with them.
-Congratulations to the three Wing VIII pilots who received Commendations of
Loyalty: Alphafoxtrot1, Kadon Beir, and Scuslem.
-COL Daniel Stephens has begun a long leave (till December), where he'll be
at Naval Boot Camp. Good luck to him.

ORDERS
-Curtis is currently running a comp to see who can complete more IWATS
courses in a month. So get reading till the 8th of October. Winner gets an
IS-SR, runner-up gets an IS-BR. Get studying.
-There's a commercial here that reminds us of some things we do twice... so
I tell you again to fly TIE-Free 68 this Sunday!

-To be taken into consideration: I've been noticing,
regarding the CSL, that some pilots don't know much about it, even though I
email this whole ship. I expect all CMDRs to keep their pilots informed, and
sometimes insist that things get done. Talk to them. If one is flying
missions but not CSL missions, then you should talk to him personally, it's
not hard to send an email asking about it. Offcourse, the pilots need to pay
attention to what's happening as well. This is one of those things that
needs to get fixed by the time the ECR starts.
