Operation Privateer has begun.................

Nearly a week had passed since Pi and Eta had chased off a pirate raid against the ISD Colosuss and its support platform. Athough Pi had lost two pilots, replacements had arrived to quickly fill the empty slots on the roster. As much as the death of two of his wingmates had bothered the Major the timeing and success of the pirate attack had left him with a sense of forboding. But as he sat in the mess hall his fellow shipmates left him little free time to ponder.

LT Drard spoke up and broke the Major's train of thought.

"a class 5 platform, an ISD and a rag tag band of pirates took an entire
convoy right from under our nose, what kind of insanity is this ? someone will pay for this failure."

"oh that is for certain. No doubt." Edrias piped in.

"I heard some of the command crew say the Grand Master himself is on the way here to insure
that our dear General Brandish, apologizes to the Grand Admiral for his failing"

"oh you've lost it Cradly, we're too back water for the Grand Master. Just you wait we'll be up to our necks in stormtroopers in a couple of days"

"yeah I hear ya Drard. What, did fleet command send you, mister high and mighty Leutinant Drard a personal commmicad that we're going to be over ran by a legion of troopers ? no I didn`t think so. I over heard the XO discussing the Grand Master's arival preperations with the secutry, so I think my story has more truth than yours!"

"Oh sithspit" said Drard. "just because you happen to be so high in the chain of command doesn`t mean you know more than me Cradly!"

Cradly reached across the table and grabbed Drard by the colar just as the alert kalxtons went off.

"All hands to battlestations, pilots to thier fighters! All hands to battlestations" the automated alarm system conintued to repeat in a monotone voice.

"I don`t know whats going on Drard, but no doubt its your fault"

"shut it Cradly, we got to get to the hanger"
Cradly stuck out his foot and tripped Drard, causeing Drard to fall flat on his face.

"Cradly you son of a bantha! I'll get you for that"

The Major ignored Cradly and Drard as the turbo lift doors closed.....


...........and there's the beginning of the run-on. To participate you need to visit the wing message board and post. At the end of the month, myself and Shadd will judge all the contributions and the top two will recieve medals.

Wing VIII Battle Readiness Comp:
First place in each section is worth three points (and a IS-SR), 2nd place is worth two points (and an IS-BR) and 3rd place is worth one point. The squadron with the most points collectively will be declared the winner. (The flying section will be awarded with a IS-SW and IS-BW)

Section:
Flying - Same mission and deadline as TG comp*
Graphics - Something following the pirate theme.
Mission Creation - One free mission with pirates as the bad guys.
Fiction - Will be a run-on using the wing Message Board. Rules can be found there. http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewforum.php?f=46
Trivia - The winner is the one with the most right. If there's a tie, the first submission received wins. Questions are attached.

All sections have the same deadline, April 30th and it all starts on the 1st of the month.
