• Participare in Operation Phalanx, its had very low participation and whats the point in making a comp if no-one is going to participate. The same goes for all comps that your flags run.
• All the flags are present and accounted for, no one is on leave at last. Major Jaron Kai is still on a funny routine but i'm sure she'll settle down soon.
• XVIII have all but one MSE and XIX have a few missing really this can be better we need to make sure you remeber to do these MSE's and if you keep your pilots Activity Reports all in order then its a very simple task. My main problem at the moment is the lack of following Fleet Standing Orders. We need to be able to follow these easily and so I will be transcribing some Avenger Standing Orders soon.
• There is still no Operations Officer but don't let that put you off awarding medals or doing your MSE!
• Avenger Supremacy was won by Fury, so well done to everyone who participated, i will be e-mailing the final scores shortly.
• Congratulations to all who got a Commendation of Loyalty, well done :D

Operation Phalanx (Competition ID #860) - Operation: Phalanx will consist of five one week phases, each consisting of one event. Phase one will be an intelligence gathering (trivia) event. Phase two will be a mission planning (tactics) event. Phases three and four will be mission execution (mission flying, fiction) events. Phase five will be the mission debriefing (graphics) event. Also, there will be a RO event running concurrently with phases one through four. Events can be found at http://phalanx.minos.net. Wing XVIII Top Gun (competition ID #774) - Information http://www.minos.net/~anthol/xviii/XVIII%20-%20Top%20Gun%20Comp.htm - (Most of the following taken from the Web Site for this Comp) Rules Its simple really you fly (both Single Player and Multiplayer), do IWATS or write fiction. I know what your thinking, its similiar to the BGCOM's Judgement but its not, this is for Squadron Glory. Each pilot does all of the above activities and send they relevant files to myself. I will count up the points and at the end of every month, announce the XVIII: Top Gun, XVIII: Ace and the XVIII: Squadron of the Month. ---- If you get the most points you are - XVIII: Top Gun - this entitiles you to show off to everyone and can also be used for historical reasons. Aswell as this you recieve a IS SW. If you get the second most points you are - XVIII: Ace - this entitles you to show that your the second best pilot in the wing and make sure everyone knows you'll be Top Gun next month. Aswell as this you recieve a IS BW --- And so we come to XVIII: Squadron of the Month (SoTM) - I will count the collective effort of all pilots and bundle it into a squadron package, and so if your squadron receives XVIII: Squadron of the Month (SoTM) you have ultimate bragging rights over all other squadrons, it will also become part of your squadrons history. (Note to Commanders - If your squadron recieves SoTM 5 times in a row you recieve a ISM for this effort but restarts after the 5 months are over) Points Flying - 1 point per mission IWATS - 5 points per course Multi Player Flying - 1 point per match, win or loose (screenshot needed) Fiction - 1-10 points (must be Star Wars/Tie Corps related)

Okay, so we aren't all up to date with Standing Orders and stuff like that so I will be re-literating the fact that these are of integral importance in the everyday running of a ship, especially one of this size. We can be be the best we will be the best, we've just got to put out minds to it. In the upcoming comp Imperial Storm 4 we stand to get a great reputation if we can beat such ships as the Sov, we can and will crush our foe. Things have been going slow and we all have our reasons but i would like actvity to pick right back up once we're all settled back to our routines. Another thing i'd like to see is more of a community on the Avenger, use our message boards more, introduce aspects of RPG into your e-mails when you report things to your commander do it the Imperial way. And remember to follow the chain of command, i will always be here to help you all and if you think i'm the problem then tell me! I accept critism providing its positive and not derogatory. I try my best for you and this ship if we all try together then we can make our goal, which reminds me, set yourself personel goals there is nothing more satisfactory than acheiveing something but we can all acheive together. So lets keep our heads going straight and head for the goal of dominating Imperial Storm 4.
