• Imperial Storm IV has started! This will be a huge chance for the Avenger Task Force to prove itselfs in battle and make it known that we aren't to be taken lightly. This means that all major competitions are on hold here on the Avenger but basic flying or other competitions can be started. I want the Avenger to be the pinnacle of activity in this war game so be prepared to fight it out to the death for the Avenger and our Task Force!
• Operation Phalanx is still going, but I've not heard from MAJ Xander Drax recently, I'm worried that he may have been hit by hurricane Isabel, but can get no confirmation.
• With Imp Storm being Priority Number One, I'd like to see communication and recruitment your next aims but never stop being active in between, keep on flying ;)

Operation Phalanx (Competition ID #860) - Operation: Phalanx will consist of five one week phases, each consisting of one event. Phase one will be an intelligence gathering (trivia) event. Phase two will be a mission planning (tactics) event. Phases three and four will be mission execution (mission flying, fiction) events. Phase five will be the mission debriefing (graphics) event. Also, there will be a RO event running concurrently with phases one through four. Events can be found at http://phalanx.minos.net. The details of each event will be posted a few days prior to each phase.

Wing XVIII Top Gun September (competition ID #774) - Information http://www.minos.net/~anthol/xviii/XVIII%20-%20Top%20Gun%20Comp.htm - (Most of the following taken from the Web Site for this Comp) Rules Its simple really you fly (both Single Player and Multiplayer), do IWATS or write fiction. I know what your thinking, its similiar to the BGCOM's Judgement but its not, this is for Squadron Glory. Each pilot does all of the above activities and send they relevant files to myself. I will count up the points and at the end of every month, announce the XVIII: Top Gun, XVIII: Ace and the XVIII: Squadron of the Month. ---- If you get the most points you are - XVIII: Top Gun - this entitiles you to show off to everyone and can also be used for historical reasons. Aswell as this you recieve a IS SW. If you get the second most points you are - XVIII: Ace - this entitles you to show that your the second best pilot in the wing and make sure everyone knows you'll be Top Gun next month. Aswell as this you recieve a IS BW --- And so we come to XVIII: Squadron of the Month (SoTM) - I will count the collective effort of all pilots and bundle it into a squadron package, and so if your squadron receives XVIII: Squadron of the Month (SoTM) you have ultimate bragging rights over all other squadrons, it will also become part of your squadrons history. (Note to Commanders - If your squadron recieves SoTM 5 times in a row you recieve a ISM for this effort but restarts after the 5 months are over) Points Flying - 1 point per mission IWATS - 5 points per course Multi Player Flying - 1 point per match, win or loose (screenshot needed) Fiction - 1-10 points (must be Star Wars/Tie Corps related)

1. Get ready to participate in Imperial Storm IV! This will be a very important battle for us and we will win it.
2. Recruit - We have a steady number of officers but i'd like us to hit 80 at least, thats four new members per wing.
3. Communicate - I know lots of you go on IRC and other chat programs and are in constant e-mail contact but extended use of the message boards and communications out side of squad level will be great.
4. CMDR's after Imp Storm IV, I'd like most of you to challenge another squad in battle. It can be any kind of challenge and to any squad but we need to start getting recognised around the fleet.
5. Wing Commanders also after Imp Storm IV I want you to challenge wings in more complex multi platform and multi activity competitions.
6. Keep on trucking.
