ISD Colossus Report #5
25 November 2002

COM'S CORNER

As with all things that come to an end, it appears that we once again are picking up the rear for the Cantina comp. In case you haven't seen them here are the standings thus far,

With adjustments made for participation in round one, the current standings are:

ISD Challenge: 40
ISD Relentless: 35
ISD Immortal: 30
ISD Colossus: 25

I guess its not to bad considering the overall picture, but I know we can do better :P it is still anyones ball game depending on how things go and who takes the top gun spot for the flying phase of ECR. Good to all of you who ever decides to fly and if you don't you best have good reason as to why you aren't gonna fly :P

Not sure how many CMDR's have reported as to the status of the following pilots (below), however, I would like another please. Please email me directly with the info. If these pilots are in your squads then make the attempt to contact them ASAP The final deadline is coming on friday.

MAJ Wraith
LT Aegis
LT Shikai
LT Charlie Zhong
LCM Executor
LT Bail Antilles
COL Locke Setzer

Okay thats it for that, CMDR's just get with me soon with a list of who you've talked to.

Next item, I'm glad to see that activity is starting to pick up again. Getting some new and old members retunring home, we have some new staff for CMDR's and most squads have atleast 7 or more members in them YAY. But thats only until friday :P

In case your unaware, Mu squadron was closed and will remain so until the remaining squads reach an active level of 10 members each, only then will we consider opening Mu again. This is a long shot, but if it happens before the end of the year, I'd be suprised. However, if you actively recruit members to the Colossus and you get three of them, then I will award you an ISM for recruiting them.

The only stipulation is that they must graduate the academy if they are there, then join the Colossus and stay for a minimum of 2 weeks while being active :P if they are old farts (RSV returnees or others), then they must remain for 2 weeks. The total amount to get an ISM, is for recruiting 3 members to the Colossus. Once this goal gets reached then I will submit a request for you to receive an ISM.

CHAIN OF COMMAND

NOTE: Remember there is a chain of command which is in place, shown right below this paragraph is the order in which it is to be used

We put this out many, many times. It starts with the most junior member onboard all the way thru to me the COM. Here lemme break it down for you.

1) BGCOM
2) COM
3) WC
4) CMDR
5) FL
6) FM

So this by itself should give you an idea how things work in the Imperial Military. There is an orderly way of doing things and that means you must utilize the chain of command. And believe me when I say this if you don't, or chose not to, it can seriously work against you. Ship board matters needs to be dealt with using this chain. If there is a problem, it should be handled here and only here, there is no reason why anyone outside of this ship would need to help us with an internal matter, unless it's obvious that it should go beyond our immediate chain of command in order to be fixed.

CLOSING EXTRAS

In closing I'd like to say that the ISD Colossus will have the (American) Thanksgiving Holiday and some associated days off, a free LOA if you will. I have some things I am obligated to do for these few days and so once again for the 2nd or 3rd time I thru the BGCOM have authorized it off for the entire crew. The Official LOA days are from 28 November until 01 December. this is a freebee for the ship, but let me remind you, that this also falls in on several comps we have, so make the best of it and work it out for participation. Lets work together, you know be the BIG T in TEAMWORK! That's is have a good day!
