Commander's report: 2023-06-01 - 2023-06-30
From the Desk of Colo Delste
Another month in the books, and as I pen this report, we have just had the horn sound for the end of Squadron (Re)Mobilization 5. Preliminary results have us completing 10 Tiers, which is an excellent effort. Special mentions to LCM Benji Tandor (who completed an incredible amount of Single Player Battles in a very short span of time to help us max out on that goal), COL Mordred who wrote an 8000 word fiction piece (that you can see here) and CM Iam Thinking who was the only member of the Squadron successful in achieving the (very difficult) task of 15 PvP kills in a single match. Well done to everyone. When final results are done, medals will be on their way. At this stage, I am working under the assumption there is no desire to change our unit role (Deep Strike), but feel free to have that conversation in the #tempest channel on the TC Discord.
The next major event on the calendar will be Raise the Flag, where we will be working with the rest of Battle Group 3 to bring home victory. I hope to see as many people taking part in that as is possible.
TCIB Season 6 came to a close. Whilst we were unable to reach the lofty heights we have in the past, we were still able to give a good showing. The Squadron ranked 4th out of all Squadrons in the TC on points, and reluctant as I am to toot my own horn, I was able to pick up 2nd place overall for X-wing Vs TIE Fighter. Keep an eye out for the beginning of Season 7 - remember, just completing the battle set for the month in each platform will earn you, the Squadron and the Battle Group points.
