Doc stood at the base of the shuttle ramp as Colonel Wolfverine turned around as he reached the top.

"It was an honor to serve with you," Wolfverine said.

"Right back at ya. Theta will be ready for you whenever you are," Doc replied and offered a smart salute. The Colonel returned the salute, executed a crisp about-face, and disappeared into the shuttle. Doc watched the shuttle take off and leave the Warrior. He lingered for a second, enjoying the chance to stargaze. As he stood there, a familiar smell snuck into the Major's nostrils and prompted him to glance around. He spotted a group of three pilots standing in the corner.

"Dav, is that you?" Doc called as he moved toward the group.

Fleet News

The Imperial University, lead by Rear Admiral Sylas Pitt, has introduced a new addition to the University in the form of Qualifications. These recognize pilots who have taken multiple courses in a specific area. This project is continually being expanded on and will continue to offer the best courses in the Empire!

Over in the Rho barracks, the recently promoted Lieutenant Colonel Westric Davalorn, Commander of Rho Squadron, has decided to step down as Commander. His leadership of Rho has been outstanding, and something for the new CMDR to aspire to. Stepping up is Captain Alexandre Morgan who I look forward to working with and I look forward to see what he has in store for Rho. Congratulate him next time you see him!

Theta is no longer a full squadron; Colonel Wolfverine has decided to step back to the reserves, he will be missed, but welcomed back with open tentacles whenever he can return.
Also, you all have hopefully seen in Squadron Chat that we are grouping up for some Squadrons games, feel free to join us whenever you see us. This month has the bonus of medals for a squadron competition. More details and the link can be found below.

Competitions that Caught the CMDR's Eye:

Signal Scramble Infection
In an effort to help figure out what the messages mean, Marenta has tasked the Warrior to make up phrases for the letter combinations and polling the ship to determine which is the most likely. Every two weeks, Marenta will generate 3, 4, 5, and 6 random letter combinations and create a Google Form to allow Warrior personnel to fill out. After two weeks, all of the responses will be put up in a poll where the Warrior pilots will vote on the responses provided.

Theta Dogfight Training
Theta Squadron is to undergo Operation Readiness Training. The goal is to train (group up) twice a week and practice. This can be in the form of any primary game for the Tie Corps, but Squadrons will be the focus. The trainings will be hosted by MAJ Vaner Van'an and scheduled for Tuesday around 8pm EST and Saturdays around 5pm EST. Some flexibility in scheduling is available and can be discussed in Squadron Comm Channels.

TIE Corps Jigsaw Puzzle Part 2
For 4 months, each month a new puzzle will be announced and pilots will compete for the best time with medals up for grabs for the top four fastest pilots as well as points accrued. At the end of each season, the top five pilots with the most points accrued will earn medals based on performance. In the event of a tie, the tie breaker will go to the pilot with the most 1st place wins.

January was a bit of a slow month, but a week into February has already seen improved flight numbers. We're going to need it with Imperial Storm V coming up at the start of March. Official announcement for the competition should be coming soon, as well as storyline details. Make sure you knock the dust off your fighters and submit your screenshots. I'll see you out there!
