Battlegroup II Report
From the Desk of Rear Admiral Jet "Sus" Mech
Jet thumbed through the last of his holos and sighed to himself. ‘This would be it’, he thought to himself. In another few days he’d be handing over the reins of the Battlegroup to his successor, and he couldn’t help but feel a little melancholy. With the Relentless officially joining the ranks of Battlegroup II there were big things on the horizon.
The last holo in his queue was from his parents back on Nar Shaddaa. They needed his assistance again, pulling his attention away from his duties as Battlegroup Commander. “I know you’ll be in good hands,” he said as he sent the affirmative response back to his folks. With that he stood and walked to the view port on the bridge of the Warrior and watched as the crews ferried equipment and TIE’s to the Relentless to begin staffing her for her new arrivals.

We welcome the addition of the Nature of the Dark Side, a new Systems Course for Setii, and a new Graduate of Starfighter Operations program.
Typhoon Squadron Opens
COL Triji Boliv has left Firebird Squadron and has opened Typhoon Squadron along with his SQXO COL Locke Setzer and his FL MAJ Prost Varsis. Let's wish them well as they branch out and open a new squadron in Battlegroup III!
Battlegroup Expansions
All three of our Battlegroups welcomed new ships this month! Battlegroup I will be welcoming the ISDII Grey Wolf, Battlegroup II will be welcoming the ISDII Relentless, and Battlegroup III will be welcoming the MC-90 Renegade as its home for the Infiltrator Wing. This is an exciting time to be a part of the TIE Corps. Congratulations to all three Battlegroups on their new additions!

First Relentless Squadron Opens
The first squadron has opened on the Relentless! Hammer Squadron has been officially opened by CMDR Matthew Steel, along with his SQXO Jinso Blackfoot and his FL Kad Rakku. This has meant the shuttering of Sigma for the time being, but I have no doubt that as our numbers continue to grow we'll see Sigma open and active again in no time. In the meantime I'm excited to see Hammer Squadron open and to see them form their own identity!
Fleetwide Competitions
Operation Slumber Party where Alpha squadron will fly against all the other TC Squadrons, with one being paired with them once a month for Player vs. Player bragging rights in some classic games as well as some nice awards!
A Banner for Battlegroup II We're looking for someone to design a new banner for Battlegroup II after our inclusion of the Relentless and Wing IX in our ranks!
INN Broadcast: Emperor's Hammer TIE Corps Wants You! Each month through the end of August create one or more promotional videos(maximum 5 per pilot) that focus on anything EH related. With a minimum time of 10 seconds and a maximum of 10 minutes, there are lots of opportunities to be creative!
Moving Day 2 Starting May 1st and running until the 1st of July write a short story in no more than 5000 words about your character's experience moving to a brand new ship!
Typhoon Squadron Patch The newly reactivated Typhoon Squadron is looking for a patch!
Choose Your Own Adventure, Emperor's Hammer Edition Each week write a 1000 word minimum detailing life after our encounters with the Ishtari. Each week a selection will be made to make up the next chapter in the story!
BG3 Banner Competition Battlegroup III is in need of a new banner with the inclusion of their new ship, the Renegade!
MC90 Renegade Banner Competition A new banner is needed for the newly minted MC90 Renegade!
TIE Corps Jigsaw Puzzle Season 3 Each month until the end of July a new puzzle will be announced and pilots will compete for the best time with medals up for grabs for the four fastest pilots!
Legion's Challenging Time Trials Season 4 The return of Legion's Time Trials! The goal is to destroy Legion's craft in a 1v1 dogfight 3 times and get the fastest time doing so!
In Closing
It is with my deepest regret that I will be stepping back as the Battlegroup Commander for Battlegroup II at the end of this week. While I have loved my time serving the pilots of the Warrior and the Relentless, my personal life has caught up with me for the time being. Fortunately, I won't be disappearing, just moving to another role where I will be able to serve my duties to the fullest. I am so thankful for my time here and for the impact you all have had on me. Thank you to each of you for all that you have done to make this Battlegroup a great place to make friends, play games, and enjoy this hobby we all love. I know for a fact that we will be in good hands as Admiral Marenta returns to take the helm again. See you all on the flight line!
