MC-40 Roost - Briefing

D-Day -1
The two-tailed vulpinroid looked anachronistic in the light
cruiser's briefing area in his Imperial uniform, though his
Rebellion-patterned helmet (with modified ear slits) was sitting
on the lectern before him. He checked the current Zerek time in
his HUD and double-checked to ensure that the headcount was
correct. The other pilots of Eagle Squadron were in their
Rebellion-patterned kit.
"As of today, we have one day left before we begin our campaign
to liberate the worlds that have been taken over by the
Ishtari." Miles gestured to the large display screen to his left
and took up the pointer stick, telescoping it out to full
extension while the screen displayed the region.
"This campaign will consist of two phases. Phase 1 will take
place from D-Day on to D-Day +20. At D-Day +20 to D-Day +30, we
will be pushing into the Ishtari core worlds for our final
assault. Eagle Squadron will be tasked to Battlegroup III in
order to follow our Infiltration doctrine, but also support
attacks by the other squadrons and battlegroups as determined
necessary by the chain of command. Remember your training and
you will make it out alive. And remember Eagles, the
only good bug is a dead bug. You may take your time
to study the map and ask questions, if would you
would like to know more."
