OVERVIEW
Here we go with another weekly report from your TCCOM's desk.

So this is it, the final call, the last report, the end of a story, what ever you want to call it, this is my last report as TIE Corps Commander for my actual Tour of Duty. For me, a good ToD with lots of ups and downs, but most of all a lot of fun. I hope you've had at least a bit of fun, too.

I won't go into details about what we've managed to bring into the TIE Corps, keep alive here in our community, or what we've all done to keep this little family alive. But I am sure most of you are aware that Pel and I, together with all other officers in leadership positions here in the TIE Corps, did at least try our very best to make this place as enjoyable as possible for all of us.

For sure we did not always succeed, but we at least did what we could do. But that time has come to an end for me now. I will move on and free the place at the helm of the TIE Corps for one of the finest officers I had the honour of serving with here in the TIE Corps. I am sure, Fleet Admiral Pellaeon will do an amazing job bringing the TIE Corps even further into the future.

All that remains for me to say is, thank you all for making the TIE Corps what it is, the best Star Wars based online gaming community out there.

Now on to the news of the week.

Saddest news this week was for sure the retirement of Colonel Len Eode to the Reserves. Our first WARD and actually acting Sigma CMDR while we still were looking for a new CMDR. Thanks for all the work you'Ve done over the past years, Len. You'll be missed around here! Make sure to get back to us as soon as you can!

With the departure of Len, Sigma is down to 5 pilots. Noone within or outside Sigma stepped up to take the CMDR spot there and rebuilt it into a working and flourishing squadron. That's why, after a couple of discussions among the TCCS and Rear Admiral Pete Mitchel, the Warrior Commodore send a formal request to me as TCCOM, to close down Sigma squadron. With a heavy heart I agreed to it. It's always sad to se a unit being closed. But in this case there was no other choice left. As soon as I heared back from Pete about the squadrons the remaining Sigma pilots want to be transferred to, all pilots will be removed from Sigma and the squadron will be decommissioned, for now.

If these transfere requests will end up in my inbox after the 31st July, my successor, Pel, surely will do the transfers and decommissioning of Sigma, as I know, he feels sad about closing it, too, but he also knows that it is a necessary step.

But not everything was this sad last week, even though my final week as TCCOM surely wasn't the best one during my tenure. Our newest addition, Sub-Lieutenant Crazy Carl, has been promoted to the rank of full Lieutenant! Congratulations!

FINAL WORDS
After about 210 weekly reports in row, counting in the SOO, COM and Gamma CMDR reports, I'm done with weekly reports for a while now. Not sure what to do with the free time I'll have on Saturday mornings from now on :-) Maybe fly some more :-P

It's been a great fun I've had during the past 4 years 1 month in leadership positions. I'm sure this wasn't my last ToD in one of those.

respectfully submitted
