Koph Report # 41 (2001-06-14)

This report was submitted by LC Firebird

Pilots of Koph Squadron:

Our Wing Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Joe, has stepped down and been
replaced by Major Jesseb Skyrauch. Please welcome the Major to his new
position; he has some enormous boots to fill.

Congratulations, Koph! We are now up to 9 pilots! Nine is widely
considered to be the optimal number of pilots for a squadron, and I
intend to see you guys prove it. Keep up the good work!

In case you're wondering who the ninth pilot is, it is our very own LC
Joe! It's been a long time since you were last in my squadron, Joe,
and I'm glad you've chosen to come back. With your help, we will show
the Emperor's Hammer that Koph Squadron is a force to be reckoned
with.

Our competition with Shin Squadron ends on June 22nd. The battle to
fly right now is TC-TIE 118. I've heard rumors that some of you are
working on it, but nobody has sent me a submission yet... who can I
expect .tfrs from?

Also keep in mind that the Psi Squadron Invitational Tournament is
coming up soon. LC Ford has not yet released the official dates for
it, but I will let you all know the instant I hear about it.

For those of you who can fly multiplayer XWA, Imperial Storm II is
coming up on Monday, June 25th. Visit the web site at
http://www.btinternet.com/~spellfire/impstorm.html for more details
about this extremely important competition. For those of you who don't
know what ImpStorm is, it is a large scale wargame involving the
entire TIE Corps. The TC is split into three teams, each with a fleet
built by the flag officers of that team. The goal? Earn Victory Points
by controlling the most planets for the longest amount of time over
the duration of the wargame. Again, see the web site for more details.

MAJ Jesseb and I are working out the details for an FCHG race between
Koph and Zeta Squadrons. To the new CMDR of Zeta, CM Jene Starwind,
watch your back. Koph is coming after you next! >:)

MAJ Jesseb's first competition as WC is to create a new web site for
Wing VI. If you are interested in this, please contact the WC at
jibs44@aol.com or find him on IRC in our channel, #WingVI, as
WCJesseb. The rewards for this competition are an IS-SR for the author
of the best web site, and an IS-BR for the runner up. I believe the
deadline for preliminary sites is June 20th, so you only have a week.
Good luck!

Finally, to follow a grand old Koph Squadron tradition, I would like
to award the Koph Ace of the Week to Lieutenant Colonel Joe. You
served Koph well as Wing Commander, I now hope you will serve her just
as well as a pilot. It's great to have you here, Joe :)

Your new Squadron ID line is:
Lieutenant Colonel Joe - KA
