Beth Squadron Report #57 - March 19th, 2001

Introduction
--------------------------------------------

The deadline for the fifth Combat Run of the XWA League was yesterday and I'm happy to announce that we did fairly well. Our total score was above 63k! This week a new pilot has been assigned to Beth squadron and he even managed to get promoted to LT already - Welcome to Beth and congrats LT Stone Cold! :)

Squadron News and Activity

- There was a meeting yesterday in #wing_3, but I couldn't attend because it was my birthday (and for some reason I couldn't connect to the undernet) so I don't have a log of it for you. I was informed that Osan'gar, Cal and Loor were there though...

- Information about our competition against Phoenix! They obviously have a new CMDR again and I checked the TO's office and it looks as if our competition against them had been denied by the TO before (the other CMDR wanted to award IS-BWs to every member of the winning squadron :P). Sadly I wasn't informed about this (it was a bit confusing with Phoenix having 3 different CMDRs in the last month as well), so there won't be any awards.... Sorry. I believe we won the competition though. :)

- We earned ourselves a CRR of 2 with 4 of 6 pilots participating!

- LT Psylocke transfered to the reserves - cya Psy!
- LT Jyris Felth came back to Beth - welcome back!
- SL Stone Cold joined Beth and was promoted to LT - congrats!

- LT Jyris Felth flew TC-XWA #8 and FREE-XWA #17 - Nice work, Jyris! :)

- CPT Jahan Kalar has returned to command Aleth squadron! Welcome back to Wing III, Jahan!
- Frank has been seen in Hey's barracks lately. There are rumors that he prefers our barracks though :P
- Wing III membership @ 30!! It's increasing again! YAY! :)

- BH2 update:

- free tool/game of the week: Sensiva! (http://www.sensiva.com) In case you don't like to swich between keyboard any mouse very often this may be something for you. It allows you to draw shapes which represent orders in nearly every application! For example when you draw a vertical line aiming to the top the copy order is performed. When you draw a vertical line aiming down it will paste. These orders can be configured freely, but there are also a lot of usefull predefined ones!
