Fleet News
It’s been a busy week in the fleet. Along with some new command postings, the ISD Subjugator and Wing XX were activated over in the Dark Brotherhood side of the house. As always, check the TC News page (http://www.tiecorps.org/news.asp) for the latest.

Wing News
Not much is going on in Wing IX, aside from the usual flying-type activities. Our new WC has been busy issuing policy statements, and the Commodore has been suspiciously quiet. Check out the various squadron reports that appear on the Wing IX mailing list for more information.

Squadron News
Spear’s activity has fallen off drastically in the last couple of weeks. This could be because of end-of-term activities, but if that’s the case I need to HEAR from you. Our squadron strength is low enough that one inactive pilot has a major impact. I know at least two of you are having joystick troubles, and that makes flying difficult. But here in Spear we do MORE than just fly. We write, we update INPRs (kudos to LCM Ironfist for doing a fine job of keeping his up-to-date), create uniforms, and generally stay active.

That said, I’ve started work on a story using Spear Squadron in a special missions role. Along with doing some more mission creation and flying a battle or two. My challenge to the squadron is to do at least one thing this week. Fly a free mission. Design your own free mission. Update your INPR (something other than changing just a few words). Contribute some ideas to the plot line posted to SpearWrite. At the very least, e-mail me and let me know what’s happening in your corner of the world. We’ve been contacted by at least two squadrons interested in competitions, but I’m not accepting any such invitations until Spear is back in combat shape. Right now we are anything BUT combat ready.
