Squadron News

a.. Falcon vs Demon - Falcon squadron has challenged us to a competition to decide the better squadron. The competition lasts from wed 11-4 to wed 25-4 and the mission to be flown is FREE-XWA-21 (IRC Breen). Winner squadron will be decided on average scores while the highest scoring pilot wil get a IS-BW and becomes the new IAPL :)

b.. Codename S.A.T. - In addition to the Falcon vs Demon competition Col Dras has put his Special-Attack-Tug (S.A.T.) in the contest. The winning Demon Flightgroup will get the use of this highly sophisticated piece of equipment. The past has learned it's importance to any group that had one, although it's purpose is a complete mystery. ;P

c.. Honorary escort - Our BGCOM Jarak needs a fighter escort for official fleet events. To detemin the squadron who will get this honor a new competition will occur. Keep your eyes and ears open for more updates.

d.. Sharpen the blades, power up your cannons and get ready for WAR!! - The Immortal has been in Auroran space far too long now, it's time for some killing. How confenient some rebs think the same way:) Details are to be announced yet but prepare yourself for some serious clashing with a Rebel Squadron wing, the Chiin'Tal, in a few weeks. >=)

e.. Immortal Honor Guard - Dras, Lito and myself hold the Golden batallion ( FYI - to get on the Honor List you must have flown all XWA battles free missions , and to get the Golden Batallion you must have at least 5 High Scores as well ) http://www.webroot.net/immortal/honor.html

f.. IAPL - Roth still champion but how long will it last? The tittle goes to the pilot with highest score in our comp with Falcon squadron.


Squadron Status

a.. Codename S.A.T. - Yes again but now something different. As mentioned above the S.A.T. is a complete mystery and must be cleared. I want everyone to send in an idea about it's purpose. Since it's Dras' ship he will decide who the winner will be. As always be creative ;) Submissions are due Sunday 29th April.

b.. New Nickname and Motto - Flightgroup 3 has a new Nickname and Motto. While I believe my nickname is quite good: "Apocalyptic Four", Blade came up with the best Motto: "You tried the rest, now join the best!" Congrats Blade on winning this little comp. You'll get free drinks this week :)

c.. Demon Mascot - Unfortunatelly I received only one (1 !!) submission for this, but lucky it was a very nice one. LT Kadath came up with a picture of an awesome Demon. He listens to the name "Enitemaus". Funny note is that both Kadath and I have no idea what it means :P I those a Wampa Ice Creature but it proved impossible to keep out of the fridge so I returned it back to Hoth. Strangely it had only one arm ;P The mascot picture has been attached, any ideas on the meaning of it's name would be appriciated. :)

d.. Almost 12 - I know of a cadet who will join us as soon as his training is completed, so that leaves only one more spot open. All SL and former Navy pilots will most likely be appointed to other squadrons, so active recruitment is nessecary to get the squadron full.

e.. Citations - On the rise again, going up from 26 to 27. Only a small increase this week but keep 'm coming, help the squadron to get more citations and earn yourself FCHG points.

f.. IRC presence - Only a few more days!! yeehaa. I sent the ship Rancor to pay the the cable company a visit and it worked. Although he (or is it a she?) eat 5 of the working crew and demolished one speeder they promised to install it next Tuesday. :)

g.. A-CMDR - In the case my new internet connection doesn't work as it should COL Mark will take command of the squad in case I am not able to respond to e-mail. I'll let you all know as soon as it's up and running.

h.. Uniforms - I noticed many of you still don't have their uniforms updated or have none at all. Just take one minute time to do it, it's easy and besides, Kadath didn't make them not to be used :P

Personal note: This has been a fairly slow week, again! The MSE recommendations went through and medals have been awarded, although not as many as I would would have liked. Activity was moderate with some exceptions but I expect good activity in the Falcon vs Demon comp as we're not only flying for ourselves but for the entire squad! :)
