EmperorsHammer.ca shutting down
23:17 - FA Absolutek [io@absolutek.com]
Please see the announcement on http://www.ehnet.org if you have a website or email account on the emperorshammer.ca server.

tiecorps.org slow downs
09:33 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
It's been a busy week for me IRL that I haven't been able to do much EH related except keep an IRC window in the background while I work. Many have noticed that tiecorps.org has been running much slower than usual. I've tracked down this problem to two choke points: message boards and large personnel profiles. I'll be recoding those sections of tiecorps.org to fix the slow-downs because they're affecting everything else on this site.

Also, the profile mergers WILL happen today. I apologize for the unusally large delay.

Multiplayer Competition Hosts
18:17 - VA Wet Willy [wetwilly@jedi.nu]
Active and reliable hosts are needed for the ASF Competition (Wednesdays at 7 pm EST) and the EuroLoC competition (Saturdays at 10 am EST). If you would like to take over the hosting job, please send an application for which one you'd like to take over to myself at wetwilly@jedi.nu. Also,I have not been recieving the results for Zone Sunday, Greenwich Wolf Comp, and Kampfergemetzel. I need the hosts of those competitions to contact me within the next week, or else the comps will be shut down. I would also like to remind people that if you would like to set up your weekly competition similar to the EuroLoC, TNT, and other competitions that you only need to email with your proposal and I will look it over.

EH vs. LSF Results
19:20 - CPT Brucmack [brucmack@yahoo.com]
The awards for the EH vs. LSF war have been processed. The results are as follows:

XvT:
EH 12 | LSF 17 (LSF wins)

XWA:
EH 15 | LSF 5 (EH wins)

Overall:
EH 27 | LSF 22 (EH wins)

The turnout was rather disappointing on both sides, but it was a fun battle. Congrats to all those that helped us win this time!

ISD Subjugator COM selected
07:48 - FA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
After a selection process that took longer than expected, the new ISD Subjugator COM has been picked: Congratulations to Rear Admiral Jeff 'Tiger' Loruss! Tiger is an experienced Wing Commander, and has a lot to offer the new ship. With this promotion, there are two Wing Commander positions open, for Wings XIX and XX. Applications for both are now being accepted, with the following qualifications/requirements:

  • You must have been a member of the TIE Corps for at least SIX months.
  • No HCI Convictions.
  • You must have a working knowledge of Fleet policies and protocols.
  • Experience at CMDR level or above.
  • Extensive use of IRC.
  • Must be a member of good standing in the Dark Brotherhood.

Applications for either position must be sent to both Vice Admiral Firefox and Rear Admiral Tiger. You must indicate clearly which position you are applying for and applications will be accepted for one week. Failure to follow these simple instructions will result in your email being ignored/deleted/lost.

NO applications for CMDRs are being accepted at the moment. These will be dealt with once the new WCs are in place.

Congratulations LT Staneth on becoming this month's COM's Protector. Besides the Palpatine's Crescent you are also entitled to using COM's Protector in your IDLine. 41 LoCs, 4 DFC and loads of Battles in just the last month alone make LT Argon Staneth very well Qualified - great work, you're bound to get far:)

Site getting updated again
submitted by: VA Ender mBind

The site is undergoing changes again, first just the plain updating that needs to be done always, but also some new features and changes.
The most obvious is the opoening of the new WC's Office, and all updates concerning that. The Staff Page has been updated too, with the new CMDRs added and some extra info which wasn't there before, like an ICQ on/offline icon for all staff with ICQ - taking the place of the ON/OFF line page of the whole wing, which was basicly too much trouble to keep up to date. Other stuff here includes the links to larger versions of the pictures and tc database profiles. Added later will be the ASF stafpage - but I still need one or two pictures for that, like for the CMDRs actually: Strahd, Kast and The Z, please send me a photo of yourselves:)
Added to the WC's and COM's Offices are the updated WC's Own and COM's Protector listings, which go back to August 2000.

Wing Report #4 Released!
submitted by: MAJ Zippy Hawk

Squadron News:

Well, lots of BSF's this week. And LT Blair Vallyn has offered to host a MP comp. I thank you sir. Without you, we'd loose a competition. I would have taken up the job but I am not stable enough to do it.

Keep up the good work everyone! You are all great pilots and I'm honored to serve with you!
