Squadron News

a.. Wing GFX Comp - The Wing is in need of an Header/Ender banner to be placed on the homepage. It needs to be 400x50 pixels in diametre. We have untill May 2nd to come up with submissions and I know some of you are real gfx masters so I expect at least one of the medals coming to Demon.;) First place gets an IS-SR while secend place gets an IS-BR.
Submissions are to be send to to COL Badlands (badlands@isdclements.freeserve.co.uk) and as always cc me :)

b.. Falcon vs Demon - Good news for those of you who hadn't had time to fly yet. The competition has been extended untill the 29th of April. Sofar I had only two files (Crsepe and Marc) but I guess the rest of you are still working on that High Score ;P

c.. New Immortal site design contest - This week I have only little news to let you guys read so I coppied some important news submitted by Adren to fill up this report ;P
This is the idea, create....
1. A simple banner/nav bar that can appear as a header on
each page
2. One page only , ie. an example of the roster page, or news
page, or cantina, etc. I expect to use the same layout
throughout the entire site. (template)
3. Big bonus would be a site with php or asp scripting that
allows admin users to login and update news/roster etc

The winning designer will get more details from me so we can work together to get a new exciting Immortal/Wing XI site together, as well as a Iron Star - Silver Ribbon (IS-SR), not to mention fame and glory :P

Well, cristal clear eh? besides winning that IS-SR you also get the Fame and Glory! What could you possibly want more :)

d.. Codename S.A.T. - In addition to the Falcon vs Demon competition Col Dras has put his Special-Attack-Tug (S.A.T.) in the contest. The winning Demon Flightgroup will get the use of this highly sophisticated piece of equipment. The past has learned it's importance to any group that had one, although it's purpose is a complete mystery. ;P

e.. Honorary escort - Our BGCOM Jarak needs a fighter escort for official fleet events. To detemin the squadron who will get this honor a new competition will occur. Keep your eyes and ears open for more updates.

f.. Sharpen the blades, power up your cannons and get ready for WAR!! - The Immortal has been in Auroran space far too long now, it's time for some killing. How confenient some rebs think the same way:) Details are to be announced yet but prepare yourself for some serious clashing with a Rebel Squadron wing, the Chiin'Tal, in a few weeks. >=)

g.. Immortal Honor Guard - Dras, Lito and myself hold the Golden batallion ( FYI - to get on the Honor List you must have flown all XWA battles free missions , and to get the Golden Batallion you must have at least 5 High Scores as well ) http://www.webroot.net/immortal/honor.html

h.. IAPL - Roth still champion but how long will it last? The tittle goes to the pilot with highest score in our comp with Falcon squadron.


Squadron Status

a.. Wing cantina - Well, actually Demon cantina but it's getting rather big so I guess the entire wing is invited. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, I'm working on a Half-Life version of a cantina. I've just started but it's already starting to look good :) We do have one little problem though. It's located in one of the shield generators atop the bridge, so we're down to 50% shields. :P Better not tell Jarak :)

b.. Codename S.A.T. - I would like everyone to send in an idea about it's purpose. Since it's Dras' ship he will decide who the winner will be. As always be creative ;) Submissions are due Sunday 29th April.

c.. Citations - Aaah, no new citation this week, We're still on 27! Check our homepage for battles we need to fly to get us some more:)

d.. IRC presence - Yeehaa, I have cable now :)

Personal note: I have to admit I haven't done much this week, I have been working on the Cantina for some spare hours but with my final exam for school coming up in two weeks it are busy times. I am planning on finally participating in one of those weekly MP comps though.
