--ISD Challenge News--
LCM Corran Force is compiling a list of information for COL Tad , to be placed on the wing website. All members need to Email him (Corran_Force@hotmail.com) with the following information: ICQ number, AOL/AIM, mIRC nick and IQZ nick (which should be "EH_yourname"). Please do this ASAP.
CM Wet Willy is back from leave after a much shorter period than he expected. Now Wet Willy is back, LCM Dan has stepped down from his Temp-CMDR position of Cyclone squadron.
--Squadron News--
I will continue to be the acting squadron commander up to Sunday 28th, so remember to send your TFR's to me until then. (I will then foward them to COL Tad).
We are first place in the Squadron League in Wing X, but Typhoon is catching up quickly, so keep flying! COL Tad reccomends that you fly the battles in the following order; 76, 7, 26, 1, because you can get more points with B76 than B1, and points are cumulative for the SL. Once you have the current Combat Runs out of the way, you can finish any other comps you've yet to complete.
Get all SL submissions in by Saturday, as COL Tad has said he wants them in BEFORE the Sunday deadline.
LCM Dave has requested to be moved down to an FM position, and COL Tad has authorised a swap between Dave and MAJ Fink; we are now waiting for MAJ Striker's approval when he returns.
--Competitions--
Squadron League - Battles 1, 7, 26 and 76 (CRs 1-4) MUST be flown by February 28th! Remember that most of us have one Combat Run or another to fly for the Squadron League; so please prioritise this above all other activities. Once we get the four current battles out of the way, it will be easier going as we'll be up to date.
Wing X vs Wing I Comp - Fly Battle 76 for February 27th; BS, PC, and ISM are the awards.
Wing X-Wing vs TIE Fighter Comp - Start a new pilot file and fly the combat engagement mission, Attack on the VSD Formidable. Deadline is February 28th.
Battle Group Comp - Battle 107 is to be flown for ship citiations; deadline February 28th.
Tornado Comp - Battle 3 is to be flown by March 7th; ISM to win.
Remember! The squadron league comes first, then the others (squadron comp last).
--Tornado Operations Report--
After distrubuting the Star Wars CCG card templates around the squadron, response has been excellent. We currently have a total of 7 complete cards. CM Thrax is creating a page for the OPS Office for the CCG cards, which will be added to the site when it is finished. Anyone who has created a card but has not yet sent it to, then just send it directly to Thrax and CC me, as he is creating the page.
Once we've got CR #1-4 out of the way, I'll begin an Artwork competition. Submissions will be voted for by the squadron, and the winning picture will be the picture of the month. Maybe the picture could be put onto the Tornado main page....(MAJ Striker?) Details will be announced later on.
