NEW TORNADO MEMBER
Please welcome TRN/CT Veers, who joins Tornado as Tornado 2-2. Welcome aboard; if you have any question, feel free to ask your Flight Leader or me. My office door is in front of you when you enter the Tornado HQ.
PROMOTIONS
Three promotions this week in Tornado !
CM Striker -> CPT Striker
LT Dave -> LCM Dave
SL Wet Willy -> LT Wet Willy
Activity is always rewarded...
As a result, the beer will be free at the Tornado Lounge Bar for the week !
FLEET NEWS
-The Agressor Wing merged into the TIE Corps as the Agressor Strike Fleet. It will consist in only-XvT players used to play in multiplayer games. More details in the Flight Office Report (these can be found on the Tornado Site)
-In the Minos Cluster Conflict, tie between EH and RS this week. The score is 12 to 11 for EH...all XvT hot-shot pilots required to fight against the Rebels !
-Three Command Officers promoted to Fleet Admiral: FA Astatine, FA Chuck, FA Gilkane. AD Kawolski refused the promotion for the reasons he explained in the FO Report.
ISD CHALLENGE NEWS
-Commander Nist demoted from his position of Thunder CMDR.
-Typhoon Squadron engaged into the final round of the Challenge cup.

COMPS
-TO Comp Results: posted on the TO site and Tornado Site. LCM Dave finished 23th, I finished 10th.
-November Wing X TIE Comp; you have to fly EH Battle 63 for December 7th. So everybody has time to finish it ;) Think of using a new pilot file. there will probably be a XvT portion (same battle converted) as soon as it has been converted. For now, 2 entries, from LT Wet Willy and myself..
-AHG Motto Contest: still on. That has to do something with storms or natural disasters. (i.e. The Black Storm of Darkness, or The Imperial Stormfront) those are just examples of course. For now, 3 entries from LT Wet Willy(x2) and myself.
-New Comp: I will offer an Imperial Security Medal for the best INPR I will get from you. (INPR is your "bio" ).The deadline will be December 7th too. For example you can see mine on the Tornado Site, or LC Tron on the Wing X Site (http://www.techline.com/~hceline/eh/Wing_X/index.htm)

IWATS
Just a remind...pass the IWATS Core is a necessary condition to be promoted in Tornado Squadron...the test is quite easy, it should take about 15 minutes to finish it... http://mmebers.xoom.com/iwats/

Replay: HOW TO PLAY NEW BATTLES IN TIE
Some of the EH Battles have been renovated by Project Reno, they have an install program. but you can encounter battles without one. How does it work ? In the ressource directory of TIE, there are files intitled battle1.lfd, battle2.lfd..etc These files contain the list of missions you have to fly in the battle. The mission files are in the Mission Directory. They are intitled b1m1???.tie b1m2????.tie etc...The missions files for battle 1 are b1m#??.tie, where # is the number of the mission. Backup them. Then, rename your EH custom missions so that the mission names match those of the Tie Battle One missions. Then copy the renamed files into the tiecd\missions directory and say yes to overwrite the existing files. If you have a battle1.lfd file, then copy it to the ressource directory...and just copy the new mission files into the mission directory. Once you have installed the new missions, all you
have to do is start TIE Fighter. Use a new pilot for each new battle ! The new missions should have been placed over the Battle 1. You are ready to fly...

Remember you can, and indeed are encouraged, to fly as many battles as you wish.You are not limited to competitions. It can allow you to be promoted ! There are currently well over 100 custom battles as well as many free missions .etc to be flown. They can be found at the Mission Compendium, there is a link in the EH Domain, and in the Tornado Site.
