Fleet News

Mike Sheard, the actor that played Admiral Ozzel in The Empire Strike Back, as officially joined the Emperor's Hammer as AD Ozzel! His autograph was one of the many things that was brought back by EH-ers from Jedi Con 2001, in Germany. Many EH-ers attended, and COL Callista was awarded a Medal of Honour for her great work for the fleet!

COO/AD Zsinj recently resigned, and the new Combat Operations Officer is Vice Admiral Wet Willy, as chosen by the FC and XO.

TAC/AD StarLion was promoted to the rank of Fleet Admiral! Congrats :)

Our very own COL Mairin Astoris is looking for people to write articles, funny IRC logs, etc. for the new EH magazine, Imperial Vogue! Talk to her for more information ;)

Challenge News

The biggest piece of news this week was VA Corran Force's decision to step down as Commodore due to demands in the Dark Brotherhood. However...he did choose to come to Tornado! :)

The new Commodore, as I'm sure you all know already, is Rear Admiral Manitsas. It's a shame he wasn't WC long enough to attain the rank of General, but making RA makes up for that I'm sure :P

CMDRs Halcyon, Locke and Airyu have all been promoted to the rank of Captain! Congratulations to all of them :)

Squadron News

A number of roster changes this week, with CoFo, Jerry and Var Zoraan joining the ranks, as well as the imminent arrival of COLs Kessler and Striker! Things are looking up for the Squadron League >:)

Tornado's citations are fluctuating wildly with the roster changes, but I must congratulate Mairin on her hard work earning the squadron more citations and for the creation of the word document detailing how many times everyone has flown every TC-TIE Battle :)

The Tornado website once more needs updating with all these recent changes, and CoFo as offered to ASP the News page and Tactical pages to make things easier for me. More details on this as it comes ;)

Tornado vs Tempest - Fly Free-TIE Mission #104
The deadline was yesterday...results should be out soon ;)

Squadron League Semi Finals - Fly Free-TIE Mission #85
After what seems like an eternity, the Squadron League is up and running once more! Tornado is gaining some extra pilots over the duration of the semis and (if we make it), the finals to help us stand a better chance. This is the number 1 priority for everyone right now! The deadline is April 29th. If you want to get a head start then I suggest flying TC-TIE Battle #164 as well, which is what's going to be used for the Finals...if we do make it past the semis then we'll already have some TFRs.
