Be seated.

Ok, we have some serious business to discuss. In this report I will address some issues that have been plaguing my mind lately. That will be coming up in the squad news, but first on to business. Please read the Squad news if you read anything in this report. VERY IMPORTANT!

New COM of the DGN Lichtor V
19:36 - FA Stalker5 [Stalker5@rothwell-clieves.freeserve.co.uk]
With the recent resignation of Rear Admiral Samuel Shadd III, a new commodore of the Lichtor V had to be selected. After reviewing several qualified applicants for the position, and speaking with advisors (including former COM Shadd) I have appointed Rear Admiral Oldham as new commodore! Hopefully in the next few months, Rear Admiral Oldham will be helping to build up Praetorians reputation once more.

ASF News
19:15 - VA Cyric [jroscoe@bellatlantic.net]
Lieutenant Colonel Brucmack is stepping down because he wants to be a FM again. :) That means that Wing XIII is looking for a new Wing Commander. All applicants should send their apps to Rear Admiral Woobee and CC Vice Admiral Cyric and Lieutenant Colonel Brucmack.

The new BGCOM Intimidator for this month is LCM Michael of the ISD Greywolf!

TIE Fighter Tactics (TT) course info
19:12 - VA Fondor [fondor_bhaal@hotmail.com]
Contrary to what many of you believe Vice Admiral Fondor is not the TT Professor! Send your pilot files and test to Lieutenant Colonel Ford Prefect. From now on any tests received will be deleted without the notification to the pilot.

Warning to all MSN Users
10:37 - AD Quake [guyquake@btinternet.com]
The Microsoft Network has been infected with the HELLO.exe virus, as yet, MSN don't know of the Virus. From my own diagnosis, the virus takes over your MSN client as soon as you download the file HELLO.exe. The client will then attempt to send it to everyone in your friend list. If you respond to an infected client, it will start to mimic what you say. I strongly advise that all Windows MSN users to go and download Trillian, which is a client that lets you talk on the MSN/AOL and ICQ network, this client CANNOT be infected. Download if from Here

09:37 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
A new AlliED has been released for registered users! This one fixes that annoying "No Cargo" bug from TIE Fighter imported missions. Another bug that made briefings corrupt has also been fixed. Several other undocumented fixes were made as well.

Find out more about AlliED here: http://homepages.picknowl.com.au/troyd/

New Pulp Phantom episode
09:28 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
Pulp Phantom: The Animated Parody - http://www.pulpphantom.com - This one is much longer than previous episodes! The first part isn't all that exciting, but the second part with Jar-Jar is much better.

Warning: The site contains language, adult subject matter, and a TIE Fighter shooting game to play while you're waiting for the episode to load. For mature audiences only.

Tactical Review
07:58 - FA StarLion [colstarlion@hotmail.com]
Those of you who have neglected to bother to log in and submit bug reports will find your FCHG score dropping rapidly...

But in other news, the Tactical Office will be conducting a review of it's current status. Reviews of the Tactical Manual, Tactical Staff, and all things TAC-y. Any suggestions, comments, or rants, should be sent to the Tactical Officer Fleet Admiral StarLion with the subject "Tactical Review". Failure to use this subject will result in your email being deleted.

SilentOne Bot
01:32 - AD Quake [guyquake@btinternet.com]

Just a reminder about the bot SilentOne. SilentOne provides a few useful services from the Internet Office for general EH membership to use. First off is it's logging capabilities, SilentOne keeps logs of the channels it's in and keeps track of the topten speakers which can be displayed via /msg SilentOne topten #channel and you can find out your own listing in the bot's memory by typing /msg SilentOne place #channel

SilentOne also provides a quote system, where a separate quote file will be generated for any channel that wishes to have quotes enabled in. The channel owner will be given Channel Master access on SilentOne and is able to give addquote access to other people.

SilentOne's probably, most useful feature is it's power to query and Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3 and Half Life servers for listings of players, pings, and frags. It is extremely helpful if you want to check out the number of players currently on the Team EH: CounterStrike Server (http://www.tiecorps.org/news.asp#1891) This can be achieved by typing: !HL Hammersfist.net

If you wish to have SilentOne in your channel, please send a e-mail to guyquake@btinternet.com including your ID-Line, Average Number of Visitors and Channel Name.

I just put up a new Half-Life: Counter-Strike server for Team EH. You can reach it by going to IP Address: 24.156.241.193 (default port). You will need the latest versions of the Half-Life client(v1.1.0.6) and Counter-Strike (v1.1b) to play on this server. I will put a stats generator online soon if people start to use this server :-). In the mean time, happy fraggin'

E-mail from Admiral Ozzel
15:11 - LC Gen Es'mith [GRVSMITH@aol.com]
I received an email this morning in response to a welcome that I sent to Admiral Ozzel. The text follows:

Hi!

You have drawn the short straw! You know about that, I'm sure!

Would you be kind enough to do me a small favour?

I've had so many lovely es of welcome from folk on the Emperor's Hammer and I just don't have the time at present to write to each one personally.

Would you be so kind as to pass on my thanks and greetings to all? Perhaps you have a notice board and could pin this up.

I'd be very grateful.

My thanks and Yours Aye - as they said in Scotland, the country of my birth,

Michael.
(Admiral Ozzel)

Dutch Star Con
15:08 - COL Callista [callista@tiecorps.org]
For all of you Dutch people, there is a Star Wars convention in Holland very soon, someone told me May 12, but I couldn't confirm the date on their homepage : http://www.dutchstarcon.com .

They have several star guests, including Warwick Davis, Jeremy Bullock, Gary Kurtz, Alan Harris, Phil Brown, Eric Walker, Kenneth Colley and a couple of others, and offer other activities. Their English is rather bad though, so some of what they wrote didn't make sense to me... If you're interested, I suggest you go to their site and contact them via email or phone, and ask them WHERE and WHEN this exactly is, cause MY Dutch is a little 'rusty'. If you get further information on date and location, please post it here, too, if it's not too far away, I'd like to come!

Emperor's Hammer Summer Bash!
14:07 - AD Quake [guyquake@btinternet.com]
Will you be in England on Friday 27th July through to Sunday 29th? If you are, you are invited to the Emperor's Hammer Summer Bash/BBQ in Brighton. Brighton is in the South-East corner of England along the southcoast. It's a fairly big city, with an exciting nightlife and a load of shops for all your shopping needs. I'm co-organising the whole event with Colonel Mairin and Fleet Admiral Priyum Patel. If you are American/Canadian/European, and would like to come and join in the fun, we suggest you go and have a look at http://www.buzzaway.com, http://www.ryanair.com and http://www.easyjet.com for really cheap flights inbound to the UK. We will be booking the accomodation in Brighton very soon, so if possible, please mail guyquake@btinternet.com and mairin@isdchallenge.org if you can come.

Wing News:

Lots of stuff going on. The Opration Supremacy competition that finishes on the 30th or April. And also a non-specified Wing comp to get Com Ender as an honorary squad member!  Here are the details :

<SALUTE>

Wing XV Pilots,

You are now in a completely unexpected competition with no prior notice given.
Don't think it isn't organized, no, I have all details worked out.
The TO needs to approve this, but I'll go along anyways.

Start Date: 24/04/2001
End Date: 08/05/2001

Parties Involved:Wing XV.

Battles/Comps Used: Any EH Battle, and any Multiplayer Event recognized as a Fleet Competition by the Combat Operations Office, plus Operation: Supremacy (TO Approved Comp - #488).

Other Details: Two week Flying Competition for Wing XV.

We will go by a points system (for each pilot, not squadron):
1 point per Mission flown.
3 points per LoC won (and per Operation: Supremacy (Comp #488) victory).
2 points per Competition attended where no LoCs were won.

Squadrons will be rated as well:
5 points per Single Player Citation
7 points per Multiplayer Citation (where over half the Squadron has gone to a Combat Event).

* Each Citation earned only counts once, even if you lose it and regain it.

If anyone transfers during the Competition, their points stay with the Squadron they were originally with.

At the end, the scores will be tallied and the following awards will be given:

First Place: Iron Silver Wings (SW)
Second Place: Iron Star Bronze Wings (BW)
Third Place: Iron Star Bronze Wings (BW)

This is the especially cool part, thanks to Ender mBind for thinking this up: The winning Squadron will have the Commodore as un unofficial member of their Squadron for two weeks. He will post on the Squadron's message board, submit BSFs, etc. to the CMDR and do various other Squadron related activities.

Any activity starting as of today counts, not BSFs flown earlier and submitted during the Comp, not LoCs earned before the Comp but awarded during... I want this activity to reflect activity starting today. I didn't even tell the CMDRs, so I'm pretty confident there is no hoarding like in ASF:SC II.

It is your job to tell me about your points. Keep me informed.

Thanks,

Lieutenant Colonel Khadgar
Wing XV Wing Commander

Squadron news:

Ok, I have had to releive CM_Bip from Echo. And I may face this situation again if some of you don't contact me soon. I really don't want to remove people from the roster so please contact me. It aslo pains me that some of you just send me the monthly e-mail to stay on the roster. Why did you join the TC? I'm sure it wasn't for E-mail. Please remeber the joy you had and please come back to full active duty. Not just a receptionnist. Also, I don't get a response from some of you when I e-mail you. And some FM are more active than the FL. Please, please come back and play!  A free mission a month is all I ask...(5 min of your time). But remember, this isn't supposed to be a chore. this is supposed to be fun! Let's have fun together shall we? So as a result, I want EVERYONE to respond to this e-mail by the week-end or fly in a comp or complete a battle so I know you are alive or you will be moved to the reserves. I didn't want to have to do this but I feel I must. I did not come to this decision o my own, it came as a suggestion. Please prove them wrong! And make me proud!

I shall list the total points of the month in this report as well. All points are official points, things not official as of yet. (such as OR comps or missing MP events will be tallied later)
