Samekh was given the honour of receiving the "WC's OWN" for December, 2000!
We got a citation! Thanks to everyone that flew this months Wing Comp, TC-TIE #157, we got a citation back! Keep up the good work, and lets go get more!
A very active week for Samekh with two new pilots, SL's Justin and Dev Fortuna, as well as several members receiving medals and promotions!

Samekh is getting organized to start competing in more online multi-player competitions. For those that were not aware, Samekh is both a single-player and multi-player squadron. WING NEWS
The Wing V January Competition is nearing the end. All pilots fly TC-TIE #157, winner receives a Palpatine Crescent, and the runner-up will receive an Imperial Security Medal. All pilot files must be turned in to your Squadron CMDR no later than January 30th!
The Wing membership did some climbing this week, and with the exception of a couple of dips, we are only one member behind Wing II now!
MAJ Proton threw a major party in the Airlock for Wing V to show his appreciation of all the activity and recruiting! Needless to say, the Airlock staff is still trying to pick up all the pieces from the aftermath. LOL

EH/TC NEWS
The EH Encyclopedia is a new project being undertaken by the Training Office to complement the Training Manual (http://www.imperialacademy.org/manual/). One interesting facet of the Encyclopedia will be the inclusion of entries on selected members of the Emperor's Hammer.
A form has been put online to allow members to nominate persons they believe should be featured in the Encyclopedia. The form is available at http://www.imperialacademy.org/nominate.htm. The form is totally anonymous and you can nominate as many times as you want. - GM Darth Zoraan
The IWATS Core course just passed two thousand graduates (2,000), making it still the most successful IWATS course ever. The next closest course in terms of graduates is mIRC/1 with nearl 900. The IWATS Core graduates form roughly 32% of the overall IWATS graduates. - HA Astatine
The Logistics Office is now starting a new project to collect the personal histories of TIE Corps and Emperor's Hammer members. The LO would like all EH members who wish to submit their personal histories for posting on a database shortly to email their career portfolios/stories to EHStories@egroups.com with your name and rank in the Subject. A template will be released shortly to help you compile your careers and if you need any assistance what so ever please email Rear Admiral Ramos Kanzco for more information. - RA Ramos
The Fleet Medical Corps is now one year old. Last year, on the eleventh of January, the MedCorps was founded with the activation of the medcorps egroup. What once was an interesting project has become a 44-people pseudo-subgroup wich is now celebrating its anniversary! - AD Mike

Every month I review squadrons for the COM's Own award, and most of the time I withhold it for one reason or another. This month, I was going to award it to Sigma Squadron of Wing II, but decided that the continued level of excellence the pilots of Sigma exhibit deserves a higher honor than COM's Own.
After consultation with LC Inkwolf, I've decided to name Sigma the official escort squadron of the Sov Flag Officers for the first quarter of the year. Congratulations to all Sigmans on a job VERY well done!! - FA Kramer
