LCM Wes Janson had returned from shore leave that day, not two hours earlier. Laden with heavy luggage containing clothes and four tons of souvenirs, he stumbled down the hallway, taking out several Lieutenants on the way. After thumping into the wall in front of his office, he punched in the keycodes to get in. The door swooshed open with a cloud of dust, causing him to sneeze and unbalance the luggage. He fell face first into the room, which cause an avalanche of data padds off of his desk, crushing him like boulders. LC Woobee came down the corridor to Janson's office after he had pulled himself up and dusted himself off.
"Welcome back Janson!" he said, handing him a data padd.
"What's this?" Janson asked mysteriously.
"Well, read it!" Woobee urged him. Janson shook his head and pushed the button on it. He read the first paragraph and went nuts, doing little Ewok dances of joy all over the room, causing even more avalanches.
"I got Valkyrie CMDR! Yay!" Woobee handed him an envelope he had been carrying, holding the rank and position badges Janson now had to wear. Dancing around a bit more, he again realized that he would have to haul all of his luggage out again and over to the Valkyrie Squadron barracks. His shoulders slumped with defeat, and he went to pick them all up. Woobee stopped him.
"The advanctage to being CMDR is that you no longer have to do that!" He whistled, and several young LT's and LCM's came in to haul the luggage. He followed them to his new office, and sat down in the chair.
"Yup, I am going to like this."

Well, this is my first WSR and my first day in office. I look forward to meeting all of you Valkyrie Squadron pilots in the near future. Squadrons can die out in activity after a CMDR change, I know because I've been there. Anyway, I want you guys to e-mail me something. Anything, just to let me know you're alive. As well, my door is always open if you guys ever need to talk about anything.

There are no activity reports here yet, as I just got here. Next week will have them. Note: I have received activity levels from MAJ's Brakka and Khadgar. I know who is doing well. I also know who needs to be whipped in to shape. Keep this is mind.

My expectations of you are the same as every CMDR in the fleet. I want as a bare minimim participation in the Squadron comps, and only as a bare minimum. Also, you will not be promoted just because your time comes. I believe that if you want something, you must be willing to work HARD for it. Remember this as promotion time comes around. Also, I would like to see you guys at at least one of the MP comps held on IRC.
