Those leeches in the ASF are copying the BG flagship comp.

Meeting at Easter. Yay.

We the people have spoken. Force Commander sucks. Really Bad. Don’t buy
it. If you do, you wont be served alcohol in the Stardrifter anymore.

Go boost Ricaud’s ego, and look at his combat rating on the Wing IX
Roster.


Wing News

MSE’s were sent to Ricaud recently. He was happy that he didn’t have to
hound us to get them in.

Ricaud sent off his reccs to the BG for Squadron, Pilot, CMDR, and
Morale Officer of the month. We got nominated for Squad of the month.
Yay! I’m really proud of you guys for all you have done for Sword.
Keep it up :)

Multliplayer comp with an Avenger Wing. Go get em guys!!

Squadron News
-------------

We have a lot happening in the coming weeks. It has been rather quiet
around here lately, and I have a lot of things that I want to try out in
the near future.

- Sword vs. Thunder -
Thats right, you heard me. I recently challenged CPT Beef of Thunder
Squadron to a competition. The mission to fly is Free TIE 121, which is
attached. The competition starts tomorrow, Monday the 8th, and will run
for 12 days, ending on Saturday the 19th. Highest scorer in Sword gets
an ISM. This takes top priority over everything else you may be doing.
The winner is being determined on weighted averages, so we need 100%
participation. I expect everyone to fly this mission. There will be no
excuses, unless your computer breaks or something :P Tom should release
a guide soon, so once it comes out, I want to see some killer scores.
Also, Our Good Wing Commander, COL Ricaud will be flying on our wing as
an honorary member. If you are not aware, there is a bit of an old
rivalry between Sword and Thunder. Way back when BG II was still
around, the first Challenge cup was thought up to determine which ship
was the better of the two, the Relentless and the Challenge. After many
fierce battles, it came down to Sword and Thunder. Thunder beat Sword
on that fateful day in history, and now it is time to take back what is
ours. Lets show this Squadron that no one messes with Sword!! The good
COL Ricaud happened to be a FM in Thunder at that time, and now he wants
to set things right, and assist us in the slaughter.

- Martleus declared Extinct -
LT Martelus, commonly referred to as the Mystery of Sword Squadron was
declared extinct as of yesterday after a recon team was sent up to Deck
64 to attempt to locate the elusive creature. The entire deck was
searched, and Martleus was nowhere to be found. He will be missed, and
we wish him well if he is still alive.

- Sword Battle -
I am unhappy about the way this is going so far. Badlan and I have been
working very hard, and none of you have put forth any interest or desire
to help out in this project. Badlan recently released mission 2
guidlines, and Anyone who wishes to create the mission using these
guidelines is free to do so. If you dont know anything about mission
design, then email me, and I will be glad to help out. Also, I created
the first mission, and never recieved feedback on it. I am reattaching
it so that if you lost it or something, you will have a copy to fly.

- Citation Runs -
Yes, we are starting ciatation battles soon too. After the Sword vs.
Thunder comp, we will have one battle a week, so make sure you fly them.
An ISM will go out to the highest scorer over the course of each month.
Details will be released when we get closer to the time it will begin.

- MSE’s -
As mentioned above, MSE’s were released earlier in the week. All of you
recieved a copy of your part, and if you have questions, don’t hesitate
to ask me. If you were a good pilot this month, you got a good one, if
you didnt, you got a bad one. It’s that simple. I was generally
pleased with the level of activity this month, and I am very proud of
you for our placement in the WC’s Own. I hope to see another good month
from all of you in Sword Squadron.

- Awards -
Three pilots were recognozed this month for their outstanding service to
the Squadron. Each recieved an ISM for their dedication, and I feel
they should be recognozed in the report as well.
