CMDR/LC Woobee reporting in - 28/01/2001

The Officer's Mess close to the flight deck...

"Ahhhhh!", cries Woobee, "That's what he meant by upside down CMDRs. Strewth, that's even funnier now that I get it!"

The expression on Mace's face says it all. "Woobee, that was like a week ago mate. I think you got more knocked around than you thought by that Rebel pilot than you let on."

Woobee laughs. "I think he got the bigger knock there. A terrible shame he didn't eject in time. Tragic, tragic waste."

"Aye, he would have gone allright in this bolognaise."

Woobee laughs with a mouthful of spagetti and sauce in his mouth. Not a pretty sight.

Another report, and I'm happy to say that I am enjoying runing this little squadron. I am disappointed in some pilots at the moment. It isn't for me to punish anyone of course, just because I am disappointed. We're all here to have fun. And I'm here to help you have it. In my experience, a squadron can be a little flat after a change in CMDR, particularly if the last one didn't wotk out the way we would have liked. I'm here to do my best as a CMDR, and it is my hope that my efforts will be helpful to you all. Once again I've got lots to do, so I'll get on with it.

News

I think the biggest news was very ealy in the week, when it was announced that everyone's favourite Wing Commander has been appointed BGCOM of the ASF! Congratulation to Vitcarp! He will continue the good work all our ASF Flag Officers do in making the ASF the best place in the fleet to be.

Or maybe, even bigger news than that, is that the ISD Grey Wolf received the prestigious TCCOM Award! This is great recognition for a ship we have long recognized as being the best in the fleet. Congratulations to VA Cyric and all the crew of the Grey Wolf!

The Tartarus squadron comp is still running, just! I want all entries in by Jan 28th (so basically, if you are reading this and haven't entered yet, do it NOW!). If you are in any doubt as to my feeling on this subject, read the squadron standing orders again. I mean what I say. I expect every one to have something in my email for me tomorrow, even if it is just excuses. I want SOMETHING.

Activity Reports

LC Woobee - Spent too much time talking a not enough time working. :) Further updates to the Tartarus Website. I also flew four (count 'em, four!) XWA WoW melees! I winged with Mace and Khadgar for some of them, and it was great fun. I can't reccommend this sort of activity highly enough! I will have scores for BOTH the battles we are doing for the Tartarus comp, so if you want to win, you'll have to beat little old me as well. :)
LCM Schitzo - You are not on leave and I heard nothing from you this week. Please explain URGENTLY!
LCM Ganner Kruellis - You are not on leave and I heard nothing from you this week. Also you haven't reported having done anything so far these last two weeks. Please explain URGENTLY!
LCM Jamiek - I received an email from you. Will return from leave on the first of Feb.
LT Kir Katarn - Reported in, is a little busy RL lately. Is working on IW-XvT 17, having some technical difficulties, but I am sure we will get through them.
CPT Vengeance - Reported in, chatted on IRC.
LCM Wes Janson - Slouched around chatting on IRC. :) Worked on some new graphics for the ship. Sent me a report on his flight group as well.
LT Kriminal - You are not on leave. I have not hear a SINGLE THING from you in the two weeks I have been running this squadron. Please explain URGENTLY!
LT Leslaw - Submitted Free XvT #24, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 and TC-XvT 10. Leslaw has completed most of the work on his very own custom XvT battle! He's submitted the test for IWATS IRC course, and has other projects in the works. Busy little bee you are! Keep up the great work!
