This is Kappa News with a LAST MINUTE REPORT!

Dudes, hang to your pants, as the Armaggedon Party is about to be unleashed on the Wing II halls, and the epicenter will be on this briefing room.

I've just received the Wing II report. Due to our activity level, LC Inkwolf has determined that, for the second time after last September, KAPPA SQUADRON IS THE WING COMMANDER'S OWN FOR JANUARY!!!!!!!

*Roasty does not need to rely on his favourite quote to let know his men what is coming now, so please start moving the tables, bringing the booze and the girls. I'll just stay here blissed in pride for a while*

Squadron News

-I've already said it, but it sounds so good I want to repeat it. Kappa is WC's Own for January. Kappa Wrestling Hug.

-The Squeaker Hunt comp has ended!! The infamous ratterian is under Roasty and Jan's careful observation in the MedBay. As soon as he recovers, you'll get a shot at trout-slapping him :p However, be gentle as he has been forgiven.
Now, the results for Kappa participants are more than good!! With the flying results still to come, we have the winners from Kappa:

-LT Hawk Hunter's transfer was finally made, and now he's enjoying of a nice retirement...Good luck, pal, May the Keg be with ya!!

-Speaking of transfers, the oh-man-this-is-driving-me-mad-pass-me-a-beer-well-make-it-a-scotch-do-you-have-valium-thanks-pal long, long, long, LONG awaited transfer of CM Ninja to Kappa seems to still be on the freezer. Ninj's squad has changed CMDR 3 times in a week, so he had to make the request 3 times now, and with Theo's parental leave, things seem to still be held for some time...But I heard that he has already taken the shuttle, but as his transfer isn't approved yet, I bet we don't want to know the smell inside that ship, with Ninj, 20 big manly Stormtroopers, and Ninj's personal trout collection.

-The cooperative Kappa battle seems to be moving at a fast pace, as a nice plotline is already made by LCM Tim, and LT Reb Crush has released a beta version of the first mission, LCM Jan Wemmel has tinkered a little bit with it, and I'll surely mess around with it. Fellas, I like this...

-The Website design frenzy has started!! Algaron has offered to make pages for Flight I and III, and has already completed the one for the German boys. Also, LCM Tim has offered to make the Flight I page, and submitted a beta version of it to me. As I like em both pretty much, I'll suggest making a misture of both, leaving Tim on charge of maintaining it, and reshaping it the way he wants, keeping as much of Algaron's stuff on it, and adding whatever he wants. And Algaron can mess around with it too, as long as he asks me and Tim...
Also, former Kappa Webmaster LT Reb Crush, who still has access to the server, has added the new banner to the intro page. He (and whoever asks to) will add stuff, but before, you have to mail me and Algaron, so we approve it.
For the websites, the webmasters need a backlog of your careers. Write em and submit them.

-CM Algaron is finishing up the details of the upcoming Wing-wide comp he came up with. Ladies and Gentlemen, get ready to RUMBLE!! oh wait, that is not original...well Get ready to SCRAMBLE!!...no, no, erm...Get Ready to SCRABBLE!!! ugh, bad one...Well, GET READY!!! as the Wing II Pilot League is COMING!!!

-As I've delayed this WAAAY longer than usual, and some pilots are now used to be naked, and they are growing cold-protecting hair and fat (yuck), I've decided to make an announcement. I'll still be the official tailor of this place, but as time hasn't been that much for me for a while, there are a lot more of pilots than it used to be, and with my recent hard drive deletion I've lost all of the templates I had (which made the process fairly quick, just small additions every month), anyone who wants to design their own uniforms is able to. Not that it was forbidden before, but some time ago I was the only one who knew how to make them (and had the time). Whoever wishes to do your own unis, let me know, and this also will leave me more time to do the unis of those who don't/can't make them. Some guidelines/requirements, though:

1) You MUST use the Kappa Pin. It is on the Ops office site, and I'll hand a version of it to Algaron so he posts it.
2) If possible, try to put all the ribbons you have earned. And compare the size of them with other uniforms, so a semi-standard size is used.
3) I'll still make all the HTML files that each uniform and Flightsuit uses, and I'll update em like the old ones, monthly.

-As I said on the last report, the comp vs other squad will be delayed until the roster changes are finally made. Patience, gather your fury.

-This week's Ol'Roasty's word o' advice: "If you live on a 3rd world country and your Economy Ministry says that the economy is stable and that the money won't be devaluated, go buy american dollars. Or kill yourself. :p"

Squeaker has been found! Congratulations to MAJ
Stele Pelleaon, who managed to track the little
rascal down with the aid of Sin, Sergeant Akela,
and Corporal Melvin! His winning fiction entry,
Saving Private Squeaker is attached, along with
the second-place entry by LT Akira Vorsahyer!
Also attached are the winning graphics by LT Reb
Crush (First Place) and LC Ford Prefect (second.)
The Squeaker Hunt was won by LT Tempest, with LC
Ford Prefect in second place. Highest score in
overall participation was won by LT Reb Crush,
with Major Stele Pelleaon in second place.
I hope to post an update when the flying scores
are tallied, and when I've determined the full
list of pilots who completed all eight of the
Squeaker Sighting 24hr missions, and also to post
a page on our website where all entries in fiction
and graphics can be viewed, as well as the entire
Squeaker Hunt saga.

I haven't announced a Wing Commander's own for
some time. Not that nobody deserved it (more the
opposite, I couldn't decide which excellent
squadron to give it to!) But for the month of
January, Kappa shone remarkably bright and stood
out among the rest! Congratulations Kappa Squadron!
