Tornado Squadron Briefing - 8th August 1999





An excellent week for the squadron, with new members, promotions and medals
being awarded! Good work guys!


Fleet News
- TIE Corps Membership at 1094!
- EH Polls #27, #28, #29, and #30 are currently open. With a new look, the EH
Polling Center can be found at http://members.xoom.com/Manesh/ehpoll.htm.
- Commander Ace Pilot is organizing a competition for all EH Squadrons, using
XvT on the Zone. The Competition will be held on Saturday, August 14th, on the
MSN Internet Gaming Zone, in the room Clan Challenges.
- Admirals Thedek and Arcon Telf have been promoted to Fleet Admiral!
- FA Kramer has been recommended for the Imperial Cross by the SSSD Sovereign
Wing Commanders (and COL Striker), for his excellent work in running the most
successful EH competition ever: the SSSD Sovereign Squadron League (which I
think should be renamed seeing as the two finalists are both Wing X squadrons
:P)



Wing News
- MAJ Wet Willy, former Wing IV Commander has returned to Wing X and join
Thunder squadron as a Flight Member.
- COL Striker is still on leave, and will return on August 16th; CPT Corran
Force is still the acting WC.
- CM Mauser formerly a FL in Inferno, has left to become the new CMDR of Sin
squadron on the SSSD Soveriegn.


Squadron News
- Two new members have joined the squadron, making us now full up; LT Kircheis
Tychsen (from Thunder), and SL Kaedryl Di'Mathe (previously BG Shidae, a former
Tornado CMDR). Welcome to the finest squadron in the fleet guys!
- LT Spaceboy has been promoted to LCM; congratulations!
- LCM Veers has been awarded a Bronze Star for his longterm service to the
squadron; good work Veers, you earned it ;)
- Both myself and CM Rea have been awarded Leigon of Combats for victories at
last night's melee night.
- The Tornado site has now been updated to reflect all of the recent changes,
and has had a minor face-lift.
- LT Kircheis Tychsen goes on leave today to Texas; he will return on the 15th;
have fun!


Competitions

Squadron League
This is your number one priority...I want 100% participation for this, because
if every does it, then we will win the Squadron League, and beat Typhoon.
Everyone: please do your bit towards this; myself and a few others have been
with Tornado since the beginning of the SL, and have never missed a Combat Run,
so let's make sure that we round it off nicely and show everyone we're the best
in the fleet!

All you have to do is fly T/F Mission #1 and T/I Mission #3 (in the combat
chamber) for the Finals against Typhoon. Deadline - TODAY!!!

Wing X vs Wing I Competition
Free Mission Pappy-1 (available on the Tornado site) is to be played by August
10th, TFRs go to myself and RA Torres.

Traning Office Competition #2
Choose either:
