“Will this never stop!” he mused to himself as he turned back around and faced the task of signing, stamping, and otherwise disposing of the stack of pilot reports, transfer requests, and other various matters that he would just as soon have a droid handle. “Losing a pilot for RL reasons is one thing, but losing a pilot because he was deceitful about his intentions is something else entirely” Striker muttered to himself as he read the “apology” letter from LC Joe, the WC of Wing VI.
Looking out the open door to his office he noticed Leroy the Jawa, one of LC Proton’s assistants, and LT Kadath L’Hoon strolling by in deep conversation. Calling out to both of them, he motioned to them to join him. “Please close the door LT, I think this would be better in private” Striker said as both Kadath and Leroy looked at one another in surprise. CPT Striker was not known for being secretive, so Kadath knew instantly that this was going to be something good!
Motioning the two to take the seats opposite his desk, he began laying out a plan to make sure that the recently departed CPT Psyko would remember to properly follow TC Regulations from now on. When he was done telling them what he had in mind, both beings sitting across from him just sat and stared, then abruptly broke into fits of laughter in response to Striker’s plan. “Sir, we would be more than happy to carry out this mission. Consider it done!” Kadath turned to Leroy who was bouncing excitedly in his chair, squeaking his pleasure at the idea like only a Jawa could.
The two conspirators left CPT Wil_Striker’s office and were briefly seen by LT Justin heading in the direction of Wing VI’s area on the Sov. Looking rather puzzled by the fact that both Kadath, and the little Jawa known as Leroy, were keeping company together, Justin could only imagine that something sinister was in the works for some unlucky individual... ::

SQUADRON NEWS
Well, it seems that a new pilot of ours had other plans than what he promised to me when I agreed to take him on as the new FL for Flight III. And the way he went about this matter could only be classified as deceitful and dishonest. I speak of CPT Psyko Prefect who just recently joined us, and without any notification moved to Wing VI to become a Squadron CMDR, and failed to follow the strict policy for transfer in the TC! Now I am tasked with prospect of once again having to locate a new FL for Flight III. I want to remind all pilots of Samekh that if you should decide to transfer to another Squadron, Wing, etc. it is your responsibility to make sure that all parties involved are notified BEFORE the transfer request can be made. In this case Psyko didn’t even tell LC Proton or I that he was transferring, and we only found out about it after the fact when LC Joe, the WC from Wing VI sent out an apology letter to Proton and myself, concerning taking one of our pilots to join Wing VI. This now gives both LC Joe and CPT Psyko Prefect a “black eye” within the TC because of the way they conducted this matter. Remember, things like this are remembered by other officers in the TC, so be sure and take the time to do what is necessary in regards to transfers. :: Steps down off of soapbox, and heads for the Airlock. ::
Well, with my move to a new city now out of the way, I can now get focused once again on TC and Wing V matters. J Its great to finally have this situation finally settled!
We received a new pilot this week from M/PLT Daedaleus, everyone welcome SL Derf!
The TC Wide FCHG Comp is now in full swing, and things are heating up fast! LT Justin started things off for Samekh with CAB #4, getting 17 points at the very beginning. Way to go LT Justin! J
Flights I and II have new Nickname’s and Motto’s courtesy of CPT Wil_Striker and LT Kadath L’Hoon! Once the new FL for Flight III is officially in place I will request that a new Nickname and Motto be made for it as well. :P
After careful consideration, and with recommendations from other officers, I have made my decision for the new FL of Flight III. It is my pleasure to announce that the new FL for Flight III is LT Justin! Looking back on his past activity, and his current drive to recruit, create missions, and his overall work and determination to make Samekh better, I feel he will make a fine FL! Congratulations LT Justin, LT Kadath L’Hoon and I will be expecting great things from you.

Weekly Wing V Meetings:
Wing V will start having weekly meetings each Saturday at 1300 HRS CST in the Airlock! All pilots are welcome to attend, although the primary purpose of these meetings are for Command purposes, all pilots are welcome to inject ideas or thoughts during the meetings.
HEAVY ROCKET RUMBLE:

Pilots will engage in several competitions this month in an event intended to generate a lot of fun for everyone in Wing V.
Each pilot may participate in any or all events. Medals will be give in each catergory, and consideration also will be give to an overall champion who does the best in multiple categories.
The contest begins on Feb. 1st, and ends on Feb. 28th. Pilots are to send all entries to LC Proton at Hullbreach@aol.com. Make sure to CC: your CMDR with your entries, as there may be a need to enlist their assistance in gathering any last minute stray results at the end of the month. The CMDR's will also need to see your entries for activity
tracking for their reports and to file appropriate BSFs.
CATEGORIES:
1. Flight - Fly TC-TIE Battle #128, "Operation Yridia Alpha". Laserless scoring is in effect. Winner will receive the Iron Star - Bronze Ribbon, and the runner-up will receive the Iron Star - Copper Ribbon.
2. Mission Creation - Create a TIE, XvT, or XWA mission or battle. Missions MUST in some fashion include these elements in the plotline: Wing V and Heavy Rockets. Winner will receive the Iron Star - Nickel Ribbon, and the runner-up will receive the Iron Star - Copper Ribbon.
3. Fiction - Write stories that include the elements of Wing V and Heavy Rockets. Serious and humorous entries will be accepted. All appropriate submissions will be collected and included in the Wing V Chronicles. Winner will receive the Iron Star - Nickel Ribbon, and the runner-up will receive the Iron Star - Copper Ribbon.
4. Graphics - Wing V could use some new banners. We are primarily a Heavy-Assault and Assault Wing, so pilots should create full-size or link banner(s) featuring Wing V, and some form of Heavy Rocket involvement. Be creative! Winner will receive the Iron Star - Nickel Ribbon, and the runner-up will receive the Iron Star - Copper Ribbon.
5. Invite a Cadet - The Wing V pilot who invites the most involvement from the M/PLT Daedaleus Cadets as guests in this contest may be recommended to receive the Medal of Instruction. During your recruiting communications with the Cadets, mention this competition to them, and invite them to participate as a training bonus. Cadets are not eligible for the main awards unless they become active members of Wing V during the contest period. In this case their submissions will be considered for the awards. In any case, this will be a great experience for the Cadets and give them a real taste of what active duty will be like!
6. Heavy-Rocket Rumble Champion - The overall winner will receive the Palpatine Crescent for general excellence! - WC/LC Proton

Cheating Reminder

The database has recently caught several cheaters who were either sharing pilot files or stealing pilot files (i.e. a CMDR takes his FM's pilot files, renames them, and submits them to his WC as the CMDR's own). These cases are currently being investigated.
Keep in mind that the punishment for cheating for FIRST TIME OFFENDERS is a demotion to Sub-Lieutenant, loss of all medals (except the OV), loss of all high scores, and a perm-ban (which applies to all clones as well) off the battle board and FCHG system. Repeat offenders are expelled.
The rule is simple: One pilot file for one PIN # only. Don't share your pilot file with friends. Don't share your pilot file with clones to try to get double the credit for the work done.
