Fleet News
There has been a major new addition to the TIE Corps website, in the form of
the TIE Corps Battle Center. From here you can find out information about each
individual battle, see the medal awarded for completion of the battle, and
rate the battle according to how good you thought it was. This can be
especially useful in finding out which battles are full of bugs, so they can
subsequently be revised.
The Free Missions are finally on the TIE Corps website! For what seems likes
months, none of the Free Missions were available, and now they too can be
found in the TIE Corps Battle Center as mentioned above.
New designs for both the Order of the Vanguard and the Medal of Communication
have been released. You should be able to find them in the Training Office.
Colonel Devin, CMDR of Omega squadron, has been promoted to the rank of
General! Normally this would not be possible, but rules have changed which now
mean that CMDRs of elite squadrons can be promoted the rank.
The Training Office Competition has ended, with Tornado getting in some good
results; special mentions go to LCM Veers for coming 6th in the TIE Section,
and LT Kircheis Tychsen for coming 5th in the XWA section; good work both of
you!

Wing News
LCM Corran Halcyon has been chosen as Thunder squadron's new CMDR, and has
been promoted to the rank of Commander; congrats Halcyon!
The new Tempest squadron website, created by CMDR/CM Oldham, is now up at:

The Wing X website has now been transferred to WC/MAJ Corran Force's control,

CM Mauser has returned to Inferno, as FM 1-2...welcome back Mauser! :)
It looks as though our IRC Channel, #ISD_Challenge, will be staying after all,
and only be changed if the need arises.
Wing X came out victorious in the Wing I vs Wing X Competition! Once more
we've beaten GN Wolly's wing...:P

Squadron News
Major Fink has left Tornado for the third time to go back to the Reserve Corps
due to RL obligations. Hope you come back soon Fink ;)
Commander Badlands, FL 3-1, has left Tornado to become CMDR of Phantom
squadron onboard the ISD Immortal...good luck BL!
The Tornado website has under gone quite a big cosmetic change, and also has a
new URL; go check it out at: http://deathwind.tsx.org
The "insulting competition" between Tornado and Mu on the Battle Group Message
Board, is going well! Kess will be awarding an ISM to the best insult! :P
Commander Blackbird of Typhoon squadron kindly created trophies for 1st, 2nd,
and 3rd place in the Squadron League! Our 2nd place trophy can be found in the
Archives section of the Tornado site.
The Flight III Leader position is now open and I'm taking applications. As a
Flight Leader you must be able to keep in contact with your Flight Members
during the week, and send me a report of your Flight's activity (including
yourself) every Friday. A Flight Leader is also required to enter every major
competition that the squadron is involved in to set a god example for his/her
Flight Members. It is an intermediary position between a CMDR and FM, so it is
also good experience for those who may wish to become a CMDR one day in the
future. If you think you're up to the job, then mail me with your application.

Competitions
For all competitions, submit your entries to me unless otherwise stated.
Competitions are listed in priority order, although whether you do them or not
is up to you (obviously not everyone is able to produce graphics for graphics
competitions, etc).
Tornado Squadron vs. Mu Squadron - So far I have submissions for myself, COL
NiksaVel, and MAJ Fink, all with pretty decent scores. The competition is
worked out by averages so we don't necessarily need 100% participation to win,
but if you want to help our victory, then play TC Battle 76 (battle attached)
by September 17th. An ISM will be awarded to the highest scoring pilot. Also,
CMDR/CM Val Ricaud of Mu Squadron, requested that BGCOM/VA Kessler, our former
CMDR, to fly alongside us! With Kess helping too, we're sure of victory! >:)
Tornado Banner Competition - Seeing as I don't have many submissions, I'm
extending the deadline to September 3rd...I will award an ISM to the best
banner I get, and it will be used as our new official banner.
Wing X Website: Navigation Bar Graphic Competition - Design a new NavBar
graphic for the Wing X website...a PC will be awarded to the chosen design.
Submissions should go to myself and WC/MAJ Corran Force
(CorranForce@hotmail.com). The deadline is September 1st.
