Phantom Weekly Report #7 (25.03.01) Introduction
Hello, pilots. Here we go again with another report. Please make sure you read it carefully though, as all the important information is here!!!
Squadron News
New Flight II Leader Please welcome LCM Aeolus to Phantom Squadron. He has just moved from Ghost Squadron to take a much-earned FL place here in our squadron. I’m sure he will do a great job!!! SL Ashley Katya leaves the TC Ashley got bored a little easily and left the TC just a couple of weeks after joining. Hey, I tried my best to get her involved, but the TC just isn’t for everyone I suppose. Squadron Website Some of the site has been made, but until I can get some webspace I can’t upload anything. I’m still trying to find the Internet Officer to see if he has any space left on emperorshammer.ca, but he has had a few communication problems lately.
Current Activities and Competitions
 
XWA League Combat Run #6 & Operation: Cantina Run III By luck (well, my recommendation) the mission we have to fly for XWA League and ECR is FREE-XWA5. Yes! The same mission. So you have no excuses to get in your pilot files to me!!! Mission: FREE-XWA5 “ISD Pursuit” Deadline: 31st March (if I don’t have an entry yet, you will be getting mailed though the week bugging you about it) Send your pilot files (zipped, pls) to werdna_elbee@emperorshammer.ca. I’m proud to say that 2 of our pilots (Spearhawk and Deimos) have beat the current high score, but who knows if any of the other squadrons have too. The only other entry barring them 2 is my own, so everyone else get flying!!! Communications Message Board - I just want to remind everyone that there are a few topics of conversation going on in the Phantom Message Board. It can be found in the same neighbourhood as the main TC message boards at http://www.tiecorps.org/mb/ Mailing List  You can also post on this mailing list. Simply mail Phantom_Squadron@yahoogroups.com what you would like to have posted. You could post information, start and carry on discussions, ask for help on a variety of subjects, post tips for how to do better in a competition mission, etc. IRC  Please attend #isd_immortal as often as possible on IRC. There are also the channels #emperor’s_hammer and #tiecorps, so please go there as often as you can. If you don't know how to use or get on IRC, please mail me about it and I will help you. Immortal IRC Meeting - There is also a Ship meeting in #isd_immortal at 3pm EST (8pm GMT) every Sunday for announcements and chat. I should be there, so if you need any help with anything or just a chat with me, please show up.

I hope we get an exciting competition this year, as it has been the last two years. Design the EH Logo Contest 09:02 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com] As posted on emperorshammer.org by Grand Admiral Ronin: With the recent letter from LucasFilms to cease and desist using the "Imperial Icon" on Emperor's Hammer Gear, the Fleet Commander announces a NEW contest open to ALL Members of the Emperor's Hammer. The contest will center on the design and posting of a new distinctly EH logo for possible use on EH Gear. The requirements for this new EH Logo are posted as follows: The design can NOT infringe on any existing LucasFilms copyrights (that means you can't use existing Star Wars imagery, pics, logos, etc. The design shall be 600x600 dpi resolution The design shall have the basic design posted below and shall prominently feature our WWW site address - www.emperorshammer.org. <IMAGE ATTACHED> The idea here is to be creative and come up with ORIGINAL ideas...NO variants of the Imperial Icon please...:) Please submit your images to the Fleet Commander (GA Ronin). Due to the importance and prominence of this logo, the winner, as determined by Fleet Commander (GA Ronin), will be awarded a Grand Order of the Emperor (GOE) Medal ! Imperial Historical Society 11:05 - VA Goatham [rgoatham@aol.com] Today the Logistics Office would like to publicly announce the official opening of the Imperial Historical Society, the IHS. The Imperial Historical Society is in charge of the compilation, analysing and contemplation of moments within the Emperor's Hammer history. These activities would be conducted in order to compile a thorough, and well discussed view of the Emperor's Hammer history without bias and to provide a source of valuable information to members of the Emperor's Hammer. The Imperial Historical Society is divided into two main divisions. The first has three sub units, each with four members, these are called Committees. Each Committee is appointed a task, each of which last around four weeks. The purpose of such tasks is as stated above. The second division consists of historians, which are situated in various places around the Emperor's Hammer tasked with collecting information for their area. We hope that the Imperial Historical Society will bring new light into the history of the Emperor's Hammer, and teach people about what happened before them. Thus this brings us onto the fact of that the Imperial Historical Society is currently recruiting. We are looking for members to fill the three committees and appoint historians for ships and subgroups, there are no set requirements however we are looking for quite experienced members who have a thorough knowledge of the Emperor's Hammer. The longer your history and the more you know about the past of the Emperor's Hammer is of course a tremendous bonus. Park Wars: The Little Menace 19:57 - HA Astatine [jpboyce@indigo.net.au] A rather well done fan feature of sorts, using the characters of South Park and (part of) the sound track from the Phantom Menace. The sabre parts are done in 3D are are very, very nice. The Park Wars site is at http://www.parkwars.com/. >From here you can download the movie in Quicktime format (29MB for the high-quality version, 15MB for the low-quality one), trailers, view information about the characters, etc. Warning - This movie does contain some coarse language.

  • Fly FREE-XWA5 for CR#6 and ECR
  • Take part in as many multiplayer competitions as you can (more info can be found at http://www.tiecorps.org/combat/)
  • Attend IRC as often as possible. Remember that as well as #emperor's_hammer and #tiecorps, there is also an #ISD_Immortal room. If you need any help getting on IRC and using mIRC (or whatever) mail me. ISD Immortal meetings are on at 3pm EST in their channel.
  • Post on the Phantom Message Board more often. It can be found in the Squadron Forums on http://www.tiecorps.org/mb/
  • Recruit!!! If I can do it, ANYONE can!!!
  • Give me some BSFs to do. If there are any missions you haven't flown, then get flying. If you've completed them already, then why not go for the highscores as they may be useful in a future competition.
