Beth Squadron Report #27 - August 6th, 2000

Introduction

Greetings everyone! Beth has had a nice and interesting week, although not to much was actually happening... ;) Additionally nothing big and important occured, so I don't really know what to say.... um... have fun and enjoy yourself! (And don't forget to refly FREE-XWA #14 - we have to beat Ranger squadron!)

Squadron News and Activity

- Meeting attendance was good! (although Seth was the only non-Bether seen) Loor, Cal, Var, Werdna and me attended to the 'Wing III' meeting! (log attatched)
- Cray got an ISM, Var a PC for betatesting! Congrats!
- Seq got an ISM for betatesting.
- Yodabot and Mandeep have gone AWOL
- Var and me are back from leave (obviously)
- I will be on leave from August 11th until August 27th! Further details will be released somewhen soon.
- The Wing III top gun contest has ended and there were no submissions from Beth! Count them! None! I hope Sas can understand that we concentrated on the XWA League... Anyway - there should have been enough time..... :-/
- We now have five citations! In TC-XWA #1, #3, #4, #6 and IW-XWA #22!
- Black Hawk turn 6 evaluations have been sent out!
- LT Shield is on leave

Fleet News

- Battlecry issue #5 released!!! I highly recommend reading it at http://battlecry.ehnet.org

- "Fleet Commander's Own" award to be awarded soon!
The "Fleet Commander's Own" award will also be given to a ship on August 21st. Grand Admiral Ronin has asked High Admiral Kawolski to select the ship deserving of this award.
Details are coming soon, and in the meantime, Commodores had better start tidying things up for inspection (if they need to, of course)!

- Commendations of Loyalty (CoL) will be given out soon!
Time to start being on your best behavior! The time to award the Commendations of Loyalty (August 21st) draws near! As stated by Fleet Admiral Howlader, all Wing Commanders will be able to submit three names (maximum of one per squadron), and all Subgroup Commanders will be able to submit ten Names, with the exception of the Brotherhood of Dark Jedi, which will be able to submit three names per clan. More details will be available in the near future.

- New XWA battle!
IW-XWA #25 has been released!

- New NAVCOM appointed!
RA Bargon was appointed NAVCOM! He is a fine and highly experienced officer, who will finally take control of the Naval Corps and make it into a working group

- EH vs LSF: Battle of Supremacy
Next Friday, August 11th, beginning at 10 AM EST, ending on Sunday, August 13th at 12 PM EST the EH will face the Last Starfighter League (LSF) in a fierce XVT/XWA competition dubbed the Battle of Supremacy! The LSF is expecting it's finest pilots to meet us in battle! The COO Office is calling on all multiplayer pilots and is offering the following awards for *EACH* platform (meaning there will be 2 winners in the EH):

1st Place: Bronze Star and a Distinguished Flying Cross
2nd Place: Palpatine Crescent
3rd Place: Imperial Security Medal

The Battle will take place IRC on server irc.nassery.org in channel #LSF and reporting will be done using Battlestats, the same process used for the WoW games. If you need help signing up for Battlestats, or if you have any further questions, contact Combat Operations Assistants Colonel Dras Hempor or Colonel Shups. You don't want to miss out on this colossal event!

- Fly/Refly FREE-XWA #14 until you get a good score! We might be able to win the XWA League!!! - Try to do this until the 11th!

- Attend to the Beth/Wing III meetings - really lots of fun! :)
- Fly some battles, especially TC-XWA #1, #3, #4, #6 or IW-XWA #22 to strenghen our citations! Of course you can also fly any other mission/battle! :)
- Participate in multiplayer events
- Enjoy yourself and have fun!
