Aylin Squadron Weekly Report # 67 for 3 December, 2000.

Standing Orders -
1. It is required for assigned personnel to respond to official emails.
These include squadron weekly reports and mission assignments.
It is also considered good form to reply in short form to ALL messages.
A short "Message Received" statement would be wonderful.

2. If you find yourself in the position of being unable to fly, email or
otherwise remain active, please consider going to the reserves. This prevents
you being declared AWOL and having to start ALL OVER AGAIN with a new persona
when you are finally able to become more active.

Squadron Status -
With the loss LCM The Cyber Baron, we were in need of a new Flight Leader for
Flight II.
I therefore proposed an "unofficial competition between LCM Hotshot and LT's
Rogue Ronin, Focault and Face Loran". The first pilot (and only pilot) to
complete the required battles was LT Focault. He was therefore recommended
to the Wing Commander for the position of Flight Leader, and accepted.

For the November Wing V competition, we were to fly TC-165. LT Focault and I
finished the battle and submitted it. LT Jennif Es'mith did attempt the
battle, but was unable to complete it.
Much to Focault's credit, he took the top honors and was awarded a Palpatine
Crescent.
It would be much more to Aylin's credit, if we had all been able to fly, and
therefore presented more of a challenge. Please consider this in the future.

You should have all received the Missions sent out with the current
"Battlecry" newsletter as well. These are due by 9 December, and so far I
have only had submissions from LT Focault.

Although it has yet to be approved, I have submitted a competition form for a
December Aylin Squadron Competition. We are to fly TIE Free Mission # 20,
aka Pappy #5. The winner will be awarded an ISM. It is due by Christmas.

You are also permitted, encouraged and required to fly ANYTHING. Remember
that during
this season of dealing with rude shoppers and customers, a 15 minute TIE Free
Mission is a great
way to release tensions, earn FCHG points as well as the gratitude of your
commander and his (+) sign in his little black book of promotion standings.

Remember that flying earns you points on the FCHG roster, and eventually a PC
and a Bronze Star. Fly three battles for me and you get your first ISM.

Kudos, Awards and Promotions -
LT Focault was assigned to Aylin 2-1, as flight leader.
LT Focault was awarded a Palpatine Crescent for top score in the November
Wing V comp.


News -
In a recent press release from the Core -
IPN - Santa the Hutt has issued the following statement from his headquarters

Star Wars -
The rebel-owned LucasArts company has decided to withhold the new Obi-Wan
game from the PC. They have also opened a new role-playing sim. (See the TC
news of the last week for the details.)
