INFERNO SQUADRON NEWS:

--- ORDERS FOR ALL INFERNO PILOTS:

(1) Fly the announced TIE Free Mission for the SSL 2000 Semifinals by the chosen deadline. We expect an announcement from the Sovereign anytime. I am expecting all pilots to fly the mission. Provide the best hints for getting a high score directly the pilots of Wing X (wingx-announce@egroups.com) and earn a PC!

(2) Add a part of the story in the form of a mission when the Inferno Battle Project Run-on story gets to you. LCM Ace has the file now. Next would be LCM Triji Boliv, LT Bora Yar, COL Jack, and LT Oskar Holtz.

(3) Consider designing a brief mission for either TIE Fighter, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, or X-Wing Alliance to be selected for the Jedi Convention 2001 held in Cologne, Germany next Easter. Details available at http://www.tiecorps.org/tac/contest.html

(4) The Battlecry 10 competition ends today. Fly a holiday themed mission in TIE, XvT, and XWA for individual and squadron medals!

--- COL MANITSAS AWARDED THE GRAND ORDER OF THE EMPIRE
For completing uniforms for GA Ronin's Skye Rangers (www.skye-rangers.net), I have been awarded the Grand Order of the Empire. GA Ronin writes, "Manitsas, your pics have been selected for use out of the 1/2 dozen applicants. Consequently, by order of the EH Fleet Commander, you are herein awarded the EH GoE, as promised."

--- COL JACK DEFENDS THE CHALLENGE ACE TITLE VERSUS MAJOR BRANDON
Using FREE-TIE #25 - Ace #1, Jack and Brandon will face off for the Battlegroups Ace Pilot League contest for the ISD Challenge Ace Title. Their TFRs are due Wednesday, January 10.

Congratulations to LT Bora Yar and CPT Calvin Nunb for advancing to the ranks of Grenadier (10 pts) and Gladiator (1000 pts).

--- WING X COOPERATES FOR THE SSL 2000 SEMIFINALS
WC/COL Darklord will award a PC for the best set of hints produced for the semi finals. We should fly and fly again just to get the highest score possible. You should send your hints to WC/COL Darklord at (darklord@isdchallenge.org).

--- INFERNO AND OTHERS WAIT FOR THE SSL 2000 SEMIFINALS
And then there were eight. The SSL 2000 has now officially lasted over one year. It was originally intended to have a seven month regular run, with a short playoffs in the summer. I'm hoping the SSL Semifinals will begin soon. We expect them to last a week, and involve flying a TIE Free Mission. Participation will be essential! The current top eight squadrons competing are:
