Aleth Report # 16 (2001-01-14)

This report was submitted by CPT Jaster Sadista

::Captain Sadista steps into the briefing room in his disco-era robe, with a box of tissues in one hand and a bottle of cough syrup (cyanide?) in the other. His pink bunny slippers drag against the floor and he sniffles as he attempts to get to his command chair. As he sits in his chair, a raspy groan escapes his lips...::

Welcome to the next exciting installment to the Aleth Squadron Report series. As you may have guessed, your commander is ill and this report will be short, but VERY important, so read on.

SQUADRON NEWS:

Aleth saw a dramatic decrease in numbers this week. LT Dabbs and LT August have gone AWOL, and LCM Nurel Turr, the former XO of the squadron, has transferred to Psi squadron in Wing II, due to his computer being unable to run XWA. I know that I speak for the whole squadron when I say that Turr will be missed.

I have requested that our new CRT start tomorrow (Monday). I have also requested that this be a FULL TC-XWA BATTLE. I know that we can do well on this, and I'm hoping that we can get at least a CRR of 3. If we do, I will award an ISM to the person who has the highest score.

The new XWA League II started a while ago, and I thought that due to our low CRR Aleth would be unable to participate. I also thought that due to our low activity, we would do poorly. However, if we do well on this next CRT, we will be able to start a little late in the game. I would like us to at least TRY to do well. As I said, we would be behind, but maybe we could still do well...

RECRUIT! We are down to only 6 members, and I want more active blood in this squadron! Try to get people off Daedalus, from RL, wherever! Ack!

We managed to pick up 3 citations, which was a nice surprise.

WING NEWS:

As you may or may not know, we won the Wing III Christmas Bash. Let me say that again:

WE KICKED ASS IN THE W3CB!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

We won by quite a large margin (30 points), and I'm proud with all that participated (being Yun and Wolver). Thanks you guys, we couldn't have done it without you (especially you Mayk). Kudos to you guys.

Read the Wing III report. Hehehe.

FLEET NEWS:

XO/SA Compton resigns, FSE/SA Kawolski new XO
00:03 - SA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
With today marking his two-year anniversary of holding the position of Executive Officer, Sector Admiral Compton has announced his resignation and is stepping down from his position. As posted in NL #70:

I hereby step down as Executive Officer of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet. That is the hardest sentence I've ever had to type in my life. It's been a fun ride, but it's been a long one, and I simply don't have the time that this position needs anymore. I really wish I did, but it wouldn't be fair to you, the members of the Emperor's Hammer, if I were to remain as XO any longer; you deserve more than I can give. I can only hope that you feel the years I've devoted to the Fleet as XO have been good ones, and I sincerely hope the EH Territories are an even better place now than they were two years ago.

Sector Admiral Kawolski has also officially been named the new Executive Officer today! You can see the new XO Homepage, along with the rest of Compton's letter, at: http://www.kawolski.com/ A Command Attaché (CA:XO) has already been selected: Vice Admiral Slade, who has previously served as CA:TAC and COM of the DGN Lichtor V and has been instrumental in creating many of the graphics and banners you see throughout the fleet, the tiecorps.org layout graphics, and the new XO site graphics. More announcements, as well as a formal introduction, are to come!

Logistics Office needs your help
09:19 - CM Ramos Kanzco [Magedon42@aol.com]
Now that New Years has passed by and the fact we are a week into the year 2001, the Logistics Office has come back from the dead and several setbacks to bring to you many new projects. The biggest of which is to be announced later in the week. Moving on, The LO needs your help in gathering fiction, graphics, old rosters, INPRs, Personal Histories, Ship Histories, Subgroup Histories, Monumental EH desicions, Wing Histories, Squadron Histories, Histories of CS officers, old Subgroup manuals, old subgroup webpages, old subgroup commander histories, and anything else you think can be essential or non essential in helping the Logistics Office in archiving the history of the EH. Eventually after we collect all this data it will be submitted to the Training Office for placement in the EH Encyclopedia(being compiled by HA Astatine). Here are a list of email addresses you can submit data and information to. You will be rewarded for submitting information: http://www.egroups.com/group/BHGHistory
CDHistory@egroups.com
CSHistory@egroups.com
DarkBrotherhoodHistory@egroups.com
EHDirHistory@egroups.com
EHFiction@egroups.com
EHHistory@egroups.com
EHStories@egroups.com
FMCHistory@egroups.com
HFHistory@egroups.com
IWHistory@egroups.com
TCHistory@egroups.com
Also a plan is in the works to appoint a ship/wing historian to compile their wing/ship's history into one large work and submit it to the LO. We need many people to help out with this so if you could email Commander Ramos Kanzco and tell him if you are interested in becoming your ship's historian. This will be an unofficial posistion and will not be added to your ID line. Thank you and if you have any comments or questions feel free to email me(magedon42@aol.com)

XO gets a rank bump
14:48 - HA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
As posted on http://www.kawolski.com/:

Looks like my previous rank as Sector Admiral was only an honorary one! Grand Admiral Ronin has informed me that I'm now back to being a High Admiral (what I was before I left the TAC position). If I do well in my position, within a month's time, I may be promoted to a full Sector Admiral.

EH Domain updated
15:05 - HA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
Grand Admiral Ronin has updated the EH Imperial News Center with the latest fleet news and reports.

FMC Celebrates first anniversary
22:41 - AD Mike [darkjedi@otelo-online.de]
The Fleet Medical Corps is now one year old. Last year, on the eleventh of January, the MedCorps was founded with the activation of the medcorps egroup. What once was an interesting project has become a 44-people pseudo-subgroup wich is now celebrating its anniversary!

Career Histories
22:42 - RA Ramos [Magedon42@aol.com]
The Logistics Office is now starting a new project to collect the personal histories of TIE Corps and Emperor's Hammer members. The LO would like all EH members who wish to submit their personal histories for posting on a database shortly to email their career portfolios/stories to EHStories@egroups.com with your name and rank in the Subject. A template will be released shortly to help you compile your careers and if you need any assistance what so ever please email Rear Admiral Ramos Kanzco for more information.

Battlecry 11 Released
22:43 - CPT Werdna Elbee [werdna_elbee@emperorshammer.ca]
Battlecry 11 is out now. You can get if from http://battlecry.emperorshammer.ca/. Here is what is in this months issue: -
XvT & XWA Week of War Stats
Big Competition Still Running (except Flying Contest)
Flying Contest Results (and news on a little problem with that)
Writing Contest comes to a close, but there is still a new part to read
IRC Fun Also, there are a lot of great submissions this month (which explains the large file-size). Off the top of my head, there is a history of the EH by VA Jarak, a Flash animation by CM Tack and RA Moreco, the next parts of "Old Friends" by CPT Werdna Elbee and "Sword Squadron" by LCM Badlan, as well as many other marvelous pieces of work.
