{WSR for WEEK ENDING: 12 May 2002}

Now, I know that I haven't even been here for the full week, but I noticed no WSR was uploaded for this week, and I wanted to take the opportunity to put out some information. Hopefully, this will help you get to know me, and vice versa.

SQUADRON NEWS

1) Well, I'm your new Commander. I hope that this change will be for the better, for everyone involved!
2) I have asked LCM Ender mBind to be the Squadron Executive Officer. Please CC: him on all emails that pertain to Tie Corps business that you send me (except Battle Submissions). Ender is an EXCELLENT officer, and more than qualified to hold this position. Congradulations Ender!

3) If you have checked the Unit Citations recently, we are on the low side for the Wing. It won't stay that way for long =o) I'll be working my butt off the next few weeks to earn us some Citations, as you should. Hornet currently has 62 Citations. I would like to be able to start scaring the crap out of CM Remlinger within the next month. Let's take back what is rightfully ours...the position of TOP SQUADRON on the Vanguard!

4) Following on the Unit Citations note, I would like to appoint a Squadron Tactical Officer. The TAC will be responsible for creating a catalog of all battles that are completed by the squadron, as well as those that are needed by squadron members to earn us Citations. While this may seem like a monotonous task, it is very rewarding when you see our Citations climb higher and higher every week thanks to your planning. Please email me if you are interested in this position.

5) There are now two Squadron Competitions pending in the Training Office for ECHO. The first is a Graphics competition...the theme is 'create a new ECHO banner!' Winner gets an IS:BR. The second is a Fiction competition. Write as many pieces of fiction as you want, and submit them to me. See the squadron website for guidelines on both competitions.

6) The XO has updated our Squadron Website! Go check it out, it looks GREAT!

7) The Wing Commander has decreed that any pilot with 0 points at the end of the SCIV will be AWOL'd. If you feel you are in danger of this, EMAIL ME ASAP. I'll see what I can do to help you out.

8) As of TODAY (10 May 2002), I will be keeping track of all activity that the Squadron does. I am not an overbearing commander, but I do appreciate people who try, and I reward those who excel. Show me that you are making an effort, and I'll keep the medal and promotion recommendations flowing. Be warned, however, that deadbeats will get the boot, quick. The big thing is COMMUNICATIONS. Email me at least once a week to let me know what's up, and I'll work with you on everything else. That's not too much to ask, right?

9) We now have our own IRC Channel! Stop by #Echo_ReadyRoom and hang with the squad! TC-14 is in there serving drinks 24-7!
