Yeah, finnaly I have time to write something. Most of my RL problems were solved. We passed 13k in ASF:SC IV what I think is great amount, but we have to do better. XvT WoW has begun, it is our chance. I already found my wingman, and what about you, if you have an opportunity to play on Zone, try to contact me and just say when. Remember that we still have chances to win this competition. We have three Archons in squadron, I think Wiesio will join Derek, Tvan and me very soon. Still I don't have any response, about who wants to become my XO. I will give you list of persons, who can apply for this position. You propably already know, but I think I have to repeat it, we have 150 citations. We have more than all of the Elite squadrons. You can be proud.
Sorry for the WSR delay but I had some internet problems yesterday. Well I think, we are doing quite well. Two weeks left, will we make it? I don't know, but I trully believe that Death Riders didn't say their last word. Do not give up !!

"Diamondback flight two pilots please report to the briefing room" - voice in the intercom said.
From all the pilots in the canteen, only three seemed to reacted for the call.
-I guess that's us- LCM Derek Dan said and stood up from the table.
-Ace, Arti, let's go - he added.
CM Arti looked at his full bottle of beer and said:
-But, ... but I've just bought a beer!
-Well, look's like you'll just have to drink it another time - he heard in response. - Ace said.
- Ace, where is CPT Drako? - Derek continued.
- I'm not sure, I think he was supposed to meet with COM to talk over some improvements to our fighters.
- Ah, yes I remember. Ace, find him and join us in the briefing room. - Derek ordered and turned to CM Arti.
- Come on Arti, we probably have some dull work to do.
- But I can't leave my beer here!
Derek smiled and said:
- He, he I'm sure the technicians won't let you take it with you to your new Tie Defender.
- Heh, your probably right, let's go.
The two pilots left the canteen and headed for the briefing room.
- Ah, Drako and Ace, good, we are all here now - CM Michael said when two pilots joined Derek and Arti in the briefing room.
The room was large enough to seat at least twenty four pilots, but right now it seemed empty with only five being inside.
- I was just telling about your today's mission - he continued - so sit down and listen.
Drako and Ace sat in the third row and Michael turned to the display.
- Since we are right now in a remote part of EH territories, High Command has ordered us to do a recon of the sector and ...
- What?!?! A recon mission - LCM Ace shouted with disappointment.
- Ehmnn, LCM ...., please, let me finish. - CM Michael said.
- Sorry, sir - Ace apologized for his behavior.
- As I was saying, you're going to do a recon of the area. Derek's T/D has been equipped with a scanner system, so the rest of the flight will fly as his escort. Any questions? - Michael asked.
- It's a boring job - Ace replied.
Michael smiled and said:
- Yes, I know this Ace, but you need to work if you want to get paid, besides you're not the only ones doing the recon. Copperhead III and Kryat III have also been assigned to this task.
- That's not much of a comfort - CM Arti said.
- Heh, what can I say. It's our job, at least right now - CM Michael finished.
When Michael finished saying, Derek ordered:
- Ok, flight two, let's not waste time on this. The sooner we'll do it, the sooner we will be back.
The briefing was over and it was time to prepare for the mission.
Intrepid's hangar bay was magnificent. Although they were in deep space there was much traffic. Some shuttles was departing and a flight of fighters was waiting for clearance to land. Flight two pilots were already in their fighters and they were waiting for their turn to take off. LCM Ace was still a bit angry that with all the experience he had, he was ordered to do the recon. "Well, at least I'm getting paid well" - he thought and smiled.
"Diamondback two, you are clear to take off. Good luck" - flight control officer said through the intercom.
- Understood - LCM Derek Dan replied - Flight two follow me, form up vic - he ordered his flight.
Four Tie Defender launched from the ISD Intrepid's hangar and immediately formed up. Space around the ISD was calm. Some fighters were on a patrol. LCM Dan looked close at those fighters and though: "Tie Phantoms, ... so Asp is on patrol today. Maybe they will have more fun than we have". Derek's thoughts were broken by Drako:
- I still can't get use to our new crafts.
- Yeah, I know what you mean. They are a bit faster than Tie Bombers - Ace replied.
- He, he, yeah but only a bit - Derek laughed.
- Ok, let's get it over with. Navigation data has been downloaded. Enter the hyperspace now - he added.
- How long till we reach our destination? - Derek asked.
- We should be dropping to real space any time now - Drako replied.
- Good, let's hope we won't exit in a middle of an asteroid belt - Arti said.
- Don't jinx it, Arti - Ace laughed.
- Exiting hyperspace now - Drako announced and fighters dropped to real space. As the radars began their scanning, Ace cried:
- What the hell is this!
To his horror, there was many green dots on it and this could mean only one thing.
- How the hell Rebels get so deep in EH ter.... - but before Arti could finish, Derek ordered - We'll talk about it later! Form up and prepare to engage targets.
As the Defenders were forming to attack their foes, Drako noticed something:
- There's something not right here - he said - Those crafts ..... they all seem to be disabled. We are not being attacked at all.
- Yes, I can see this - Derek confirmed - but this may be a trap, stay sharp everyone.
- What do we do, sir? - LCM Ace asked.
Derek though for a while and then ordered:
- Arti, give me status on enemy capital ships and platforms.
- Well, I have one VSD and two platforms, type five.
After a moment of consideration, Derek gave another order:
- Drako, follow me, we're going to have a closer look. Ace, Arti, cover us.
- Should I inform Intrepid about this? - Ace asked.
- No, not yet - his flight leader responded.
Two Tie Defenders broke from formation and flew near the platforms. Apart from platforms and a VSD there where several old starfighters there, but their systems were offline. There was no radio traffic. Everything was calm and peaceful. The only signal that was intercepted came from the VSD. One could say that it all looked like this was a ghost fleet that could fade away any second.
- What do you make of this, Drako? - LCM Dan asked.
- I'm not sure. I've just received first data from your scanners .... wait ..... I have an ID on that VSD .... it's name is Republican ...., but there is something not right with the transponder's frequency.
- What do you mean?
- Well, nobody uses this kind of frequency any more. It's rather old. Maybe some pirates would use it, but definitely no military force.
- So, you are saying this is a pirate's operation? - Derek asked.
- No, rather not.
- If those aren't Rebels or pirates then who or what are they?
- I have a theory, but it's ... rather weird - Drako replied.
- Yes ...? - Derek asked.
- Old Republic.
LCM Dan was a bit surprised with the answer he had received.
- Well, you're right. This is a weird theory. Old Republic base so deep in Outer Rim? - he said.
- I've told you, it's just a theory - Drako replied.
- Well, it will have to do for now. Let's do a live form scan and get back to Ace and Arti - Derek said.
After the scan was completed two fighters rejoined formation.
- So, what is it? - LCM Ace asked with curiosity.
- We don't know right now - Drako answered.
- The only thing we are sure, that it is dead - Derek ended.
- No life forms detected. - Drako added.
- We should contact the Intrepid - Arti said.
- Yes, but not through comm channels - he heard in response - Drako, Arti you're going to return to Intrepid and do a full report do VA Brakka, understood? - Derek ordered.
- Yes - both pilots answered.
- I will stay here with Ace on a patrol, go now.
Fighters hypered out immediately.
VA Brakka stood on the bridge of the ISD Intrepid and looked at the stars. The view he had seen many times. As a small boy he dreamed about leaving his home and becoming a pilot, but now, after all the years of service, he had nearly forgotten how his home world looked like. "Now it's a Rebel space" he though and suddenly anger arose in him. But the anger went away. He had more important things to do.
- What's the status of our recon flights? - he asked one of the officers.
- Copperhead III has already returned, they haven't found anything. Kryat III is entering hangars right now. They haven't found anything interesting either, sir.
- What about Diamondback II?
The officer checked something on a datapad and answered:
- No response from them.
- Get Diamondback III on stand-by and ...
- Two Tie Defenders entering area - another officer reported before VA could finish.
- Only two? - VA Brakka asked surprised.
- Yes. Should I establish communication with them?
- Yes.
The officer hailed incoming fighters and opened comm channel.
- This is VA Brakka. Where is the rest of the flight.
After a second of silence, Drako's voice appeared in speakers:
"We have found something, sir. We've been ordered by our flight leader to return and give you a report"
- Why haven't you used the comm channels? - VA Brakka asked.
Once again Drako answered:
"LCM Dan was afraid that if there was a trap, the message could have been intercepted, so he sent us"
- I understand. Land a soon as possible and go directly to the bridge. VA Brakka out - COM ended.
VA turned away and said to one of the officers:
- Lieutenant, give them a high level clearance.
- Right away, sir. - the officer nodded.
