KAPPA SQUADRON REPORT, 4th March 2002, Captain Algaron
Having spent a week renamed as various diseases lets all put in a big effort to make sure Ford never has the same excuse again.......
- Our numbers have increased! CM Jan Wemmel rejoins Kappa Squadron after a term of service in the elite Praetorian Squadron. It's a great pleasure to have him back. His experience will be invaluable in the Flight Leader position of Flight II.
- Voting for the Kappa Hall of Fame was again close this week. With some new votes and others carried over from last week, it is my pleasure to announce Jan Wemmel as the third inductee into the Hall of Fame Squadron in his old position as Flight III Leader. Voting next week will start to fill the Flight Member positions so please make your nominations ASAP.
- Ford announced Kappa Squadron winners (or should that be losers?) of the February Disease Competition due to our low level of activity for the month. Our period of uncertainty after Roastys disapperance can explain much of this, but from now on we have no excuses. We must make a big effort to turn things around.

- Kappa Hall of Fame - Astarosta, Tempest and Jan Wemmel are the thee inductees to date - please cast votes this week for the first Flight Member - remember any Kappa pilot (past or present) can be nominated.
- Design a Banner Graphic for the Kappa Hall of Fame to display on the website. I will award 4 KAPS points for all entries, and a further 4 for the best. The deadline is 1 week from today. We have 2 entries so far.
- Recruitment - please lend assistance to Tempest in his efforts to recruit new pilots.
- Kappa Training - this will be a regular competition giving pilots a chance to to boost their KAPS points - you get 2 weeks to fly from whenever I announce a training battle, and the pilot recording the highest score will get a 4 KAPS point bonus on top of those received for flying the missions. Our first training assignment is TC-TIE 192 "Claws of Death" (attached) - get those TFRs to me before 24th March - I fully expect 100% participation.
- The New Face of Kappa - although we have a glorious past, I think it's time to give our Squadron a bit of a facelift. I would like new mottos/nicknames for all three Flights and the Squadron in general. I'll give 1 KAPS point for the best Flight suggestions and 2 points for the Squadron. When we have the new Squadron motto sorted out, Tempest will create a new banner. We want suggestions to help in this - I will give out discetionary KAPS points for ideas incorporated into the final design. Get your thinking caps on people.
